Hi all,
I am a new bee. Please help me on this.
I have 5 MSI RX 580 8GB, all of them perform very low on mining Ethereum (17Mh/s) right out the box. However, I have done modBIOS Flash, but it only increased to 21 Mh/s. I don’t know if I have done anything wrong. Please help!!! would be very appreciate and willing to donate some mining hours for a person who would help me on this.
Thank You all

try other miners other than claymore and use different driver too , my friend gets around 28 with bios changed.

have you done modding correctly? what steps did you follow? seems like a bad strap timings to me, check your GPU's type of memory if its Samsung try ubermix settings and reflash, follow these guides.

try to adjust settings in after burner after modding bios.

Welcome to mining and congratulations on your first rig. What you need to know is that modding your BIOS is only the first step. Assuming you did it correctly (got a BIOS with modded mem straps), you will now have to overclock it and undervolt it. You can do this through many ways but I recommend doing it with either MSI Afterburner or Claymore's miner directly.

For claymore's miner use settings like -cclock -mclock -cvddc and -mvddc settings. Check out claymore's dual miner thread to learn more about it.

Use Polaris Bios Editor 1.6.4 to mod your bios, patch the driver using pixel clock patcher, enable compute mode in the latest radeon control center, undervolt to 900-950mV@1150 core, make sure that your GPU isn't throttling the core clock (check in GPU-Z) and then overclock your memory.

You should check that the algorithm is correct, you should always check the way your MSI assembly is correct. Finally after checking everything but your diggers are still exploiting too low you can contact the production to be changed to another machine.

Maybe they just have a bad memory, but I'm not sure. Some new cards are castrated unfortunately. Sad

It's not the case of AMD RX580. The card might not hold well OC frequencies or was re-flashed with messy memory timings, but not castrated  Cheesy
There are "limited" versions of RX560, with 896 stream processors instead of 1024 (the cheapest RX560 from Powercolor, many RX560 sold in China are called RX560D - they also have 896 processors, just like the early RX460).

1. Use the AMD blockchain drivers, not the normal ones
2. No mods, out of the box a 580 should be around 22-24 ish
3. With a bios mod on stock clocks it should get around 26-27 ish
4. Fully tweaked to the max it should be at/over 29
5. Clocks should be 1100 core and 2000 memory for a start, then go up from there
6. Adjust clocks in MSI afterburner, not in miners.  I have mixed results with this once AMD settings + MSI Afterburner are installed
7. If dual mining adjust DCRI for optimal values to ensure TDP/clock throttling does not occur
8. You want to keep memory less than 2050 without looking for hardware errors, if you wish to go to the max, you will need hardware monitor to ensure no memory errors.  I stay at 2000-2025 for margin and less headache
9. You want to keep core clock less than 1150-1175.  I find that 1100-1125 is best for me but I dual mine.  I prefer to keep the core down to keep the fans in check
10. All of the above wont be achievable unless you undervolt to around .900-.950 ish with watt tool.  I prefer to leave the AMD votlage settings alone at default "AUTO" and then just undervolt the whole card.  This allows the built in volts/clock curve to remain intact and simply offset lower to reduce power consumption.  Many folks dork the voltages all up and then crash when the card throttles down/up

I bet you used a bad/wrong bios and/or are using the wrong AMD drivers.
