In my opinion Fair society is a society have a fair treatment or equal to all things in our society like in Security aspect, in giving justice even your poor or rich individual, fair treatment between a rich and to a poor. If theres no poor and rich, if all the children can go to school and even they dont go to work, the descrimation if you are poor.

Fair society means justice. Justice for whatever your color, nation, gender or status in life. In many nation today, fairness in society doesn't exist because of the justice they have.

Today, I don't believe that things are fair to everyone, the rich gets more while the poor became poorer. Sometimes, it becomes a hopeless case.

Fair can have two meanings, one being justice and the other equal. An equal society is exactly what is sounds like when everyone is equal in everything from rights to money to clothes. A just society is one where everyone gets what they deserve. If you work hard you get money. If you have good habits you will be healthy.

To me an equal society kinds of sounds like socialism but I think that I would prefer to live in a society where everyone is equal. I think however that we live in a more just society than a fair one. So many people are not equal but just as many do not get what they deserve.

What do you think? Do we live in a fair society? Is it more just, equal or something else entirely?

Thanks for the thoughts!
There is no such as fair society in this real world. In my own opinion, fair society is when everyone is equal. Eaqually respected, equally treated with love, eaqually given all the opportunities in life. But we cannot see this things around us.

There are always processes and counter-processes working against each other - the result is a tenuous state of equilibrium. As some people here have written, the striving for fairness is a striving for utopia, but is it fair if I get cancer at age 35, while my neighbour does not? Is it fair that my dog was run over by a car because it was chasing after a ball? These events are beyond the scope of a 'fair society', and as such must be regarded from the perspective of Nature, or the non-social. Nature does not know the concept of fairness, or ethics; it does not know mercy, does not even understand 'tooth for a tooth'. As such, society is the only guarantor of fairness we have, and that is not much, it seems.

Why could everyone ever be equal if people are born different? Even if all people were equal some would still be more equal than others. I don't think that we live in a fair society either. That's because there is a lot of chance in everyone's life, so there is no way it could be fair, just, or anything to that tune. Some dudes are just more lucky than the rest of the pack, and let me guess this is not what fair means.

In way you consider equivalence a society may be fair. People are not same, stronger and smarter people should have more social rights, property and goods possesion. In justice way a society can not be fair, because people in power provide laws they need and make huge amount of population suffer. Some smart and strong persons are not able to get what they deserve in such society. Socialism society is not fair as well, because people are supressed by its limits, they have to work and struggle without any break, look at China, North Korea or Cuba do you think this society is fair?
I beleive that the most fair society is anarchy/communism type of society without laws and people in power. But it is imossible, becauce people have to be really gentle and kind to each other. We people are not as good, we need someone to look after us.
I live in quite fair society but not really fair

Fair society is treating people equally, rich or poor,  no matter what status they had, no discrimation or favoritism.

To begin with, it is impossible to form a just society because it does not exist in the broad sense
but only individual individuals exist. It is quite easy to form a fair state against.

To me fair society, is the society that have regards for justice and equality for all her citizenry, society that respect human dignity, and measure equal justice to all, not others way round.  fair society is society  that is free from all form of corruption.

I don't like your idea, it's not fair.
The poor people in 80% became poor of their laziness and no will to change the situation. Let them be poor if they want. It's only a small amount of people who is poor because of the situation (mostly people with no family and with a terrible disease).

My thought about this is, there is not such thing as fair. For me fair is equality. But there will be no equality when it comes to us. Remember we got difference? Races, religions, cultures and status. Unless this things will be eliminated then that's the time that we will know what fair really is.

It seems that something else is actually meant here like the law should be applicable to everyone equally without discrimination between the poor and the rich. Right now the rich, the truly rich ones, are above the law. This is not fair. It is definitely not about taking money from the rich and giving it to the poor. That would be not fair either.

For me fair society is having equal justice and rights. Society where status in life does not affect their rights in achieving justice. But for some reason I don't think their are such thing as a fair society. Rich people always get what they wanted because of their power and money, they can use their money anywhere and it can be used even in buying justice and turning things up side down for them to be in favor and because of this, poor people always lose in achieving justice.
