This is a famous altcoin, but not the most expensive. There are a lot of other coins, which at a price exceeded the ETH. In 2018, the maximum price that the ETH will reach is 1500 dollars.

Bitcoin's price is drastically increasing. Thus affecting altternative currencies, which Ethereum is the leading one.
