OK, so this was from several weeks ago but just happened to chance upon it on my Recommended list (quite funny they did recommend it, right?).

This is a small video from the engineer that Google fired. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9_o42QaVnA In it he said that Google do remove links to certain videos on Youtube and results on Google search. Have you ever actually encountered it? Like, some site you used to access disappears from the first page of the search result (bumped down) that you only notice when you are not using your Google account?

I can't remember any instance but they are really censoring stuff that don't have the usual elements calling for censorship (pornography, violence, etc) then wouldn't that be really disturbing?

Doesn't suprise me.. at all. Politically correct is just another form of thought control (mind control). Control the dictionary and you control the mind of men.
Orwell already illustrated this with his book 1984. Censorship is all around you, you can't evade it or bypass it. But today's generation doesn't care a lot about fancy rights such as ''privacy'' and ''free speech''.

He was definitely correct when he said "Google can be more powerful than the government since they affect people's world view". Simply biasing search results in bad enough, imagine if they just outright make sites that down't agree with them not appear in searches.

i guess it's fine when they remove some dangerous information from the search. i mean our kids will google something eventually and can bump into something they aren't supposed to see

At some point it looked like Google would lower the rank of RT journalistic entries, then they have denied it.
