Dont forget DGS coin - Dont Give a Shit coin. Mine the two majors, BTC & LTC, rest is a waste of juice
Would have to agree, stick with btc and ltc, although unless you have a pretty damn expensive rig set up, mine ltc. A coin other than these two is up to you, think for yourself though, dont get into a coin other tell you too, most dont know what they are talking about.

I'd take a look at the top 5 to see what is currently getting traction: http://coinmarketcap.com/

That is definitely an example of the King effect though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_effect

Values will always compete and that is why currency will always change. Those that wish to get a monopoly on the currency will always not want to change the values thus slowing the move ment of goods and services in term making the economy bad. I for one, welcome new alt crypto and am excited for the next one and next one etc

NMC has been trending down for a while now. it was a neat idea but its almost ran its course unless a better implementation of the system is proposed/put in place.

Phenixcoin definitely has a future, the devs have put a lot of work into it and the services accompanying it.

Craftcoin is rather new, and I'm quite biased towards it given my involvement, but I beleive it also has a future for similar reason to PXC's.

Unfortunately the CRC dev team doesn't have nearly as much time, skills, money, and organization as PXC has, so there may be many bumps in the road ahead.

I know only one preferable coin. The one what momentarily makes the most profit for me... and that one keep changing from transaction to transaction. Everything else is just BS or personal sympathy Smiley.

BTW PXC not really good at this moment. There's almost no difference between the sell and buy orders, so you have to trade it in huge quantities to make some profit.

That's assuming you're only interested in crypto-currencies to make profit, which in my opinion, is the worst reason to be interested in crypto-currency.

If you want to look at the long run future of a currency you look at what it is used for, what support it has, what innovations it has. Not how much you can dump it for at the most opportune moment.

Yep, you are right. Originally I was interested because of it's technical features and independence. I've seen it as a new beginning in the economy. Later I've learned that I was naive, recently I've learned that the Foundation and the major players want to comply with US regulations, nowadays I've learned that entire BTC ecosystem is being dominated by some of the previously mentioned major players and a lot of speculators, few days ago I've learned that sharks from the fiat world are gathering to get their share. In the meantime the community happily chatting about mostly pointless things and ignoring all the warnings from the old libertarian "core". I have to realize that the whole thing is getting more and more messed up, so I want to grab what I can and run with the bag into a more balanced system. (E.g. eMU looks promising, but maybe I'm just naive again.)

Guys here is a summarized history of PXC

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=246481.0

Don't fight each other just promote your coins with proper reasoning. I don't think bashing other coins will help promote your coin.

PXC: PmfFgdwwcXPa1QUmtVJevdPfHhmhztHHCv
BTC: 1P22tVABsd85L7kkpTmohCv5vK2BypFz3H
Phoenixcoin (PXC), a decentralised open source digital currency.
