Pete,

Where did you get the photo of the 1BTC silver coin from? The edges of my coin holograms have been lasered and this one has not?

Also can you point me at a link where you go the air-tite capsules from and with what size ring insert.

Thanks.

Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

PM'd, but just for the record:

I used the photo from Mike's blog post: http://casascius.wordpress.com/2013/06/27/silver-coins-now-here/
I think Mike started laser-melting the hologram edges after the recent discovery that the holograms can be peeled and replaced fairly easily without detection:
http://bitcoinexaminer.org/defcon-hacking-conference-casascius-physical-bitcoins-get-cracked/

I ordered the ringed coin capsules from here: http://www.coingallery.co.uk/air-tite-ringed-capsules-37-c.asp
They are Lighthouse (Leuchtturm) capsules. You need 39mm rings for 1BTC coins and 30mm ones for 0.5BTC

Best regards
Pete

I wanted to share this with you guys: I created my own certificate for this coin Smiley
(It's the same proces used by Molecular: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=221343.msg2348107#msg2348107
All credits to him! )

I removed the top of the capsule carefully, took the coin out, and placed it in the capsule the other way around.
Took a scan (without capsule in front of the scanner). The coin didn't touched the scanner. It was held by the ring in the capsule.
Then placed the coin in his original, position, and took a scan again.
Then just closed the capsule

Hashed the file.
Hash used as private key and send the transaction 0.00150813 BTC to the public addres.
(certificate was made on 15/08/2013)

Than I imported the private key in blockchain.info wallet and transferred the BTC back to my wallet (except 1 satoshi)

Cheesy

Thanks for the feedback guys! Glad everybody seems to have received their coins and are happy with them.

Due to one mix-up (swapped two orders) I only have 2 1BTC and 1 0.5BTC coins left that I want to keep.

When the 0.1BTC coins are out I'd be happy to run another group buy Smiley

The 0.1's are out and the prices for 1 and 0.5 have been lowered.
Would like to see your end-customer prices Smiley

Ah, I see! I checked the casascius website before posting but obviously I'm going blind Wink

I'll see if there are any UK/EU-based group buys and might start one if not.
