Only 16 chip miner?  These chips are much more expensive than Avalon's.  Any plans for a 1 chip miner?  That would be much more economical for those miners whose pockets are not very deep.

Iam sure there will be a 1 chip Miner for Bitfury, but now its just not the time, because the whole data will only be delivered in case of an chip order.

Agreed; but I can afford maybe 4 chips in the next couple of weeks.  Also, does this group buy ship internationally?

Of course if there is enough demand We'll design 1 chip miner

I'm from Bulgaria , I currently started a company for assembling Avalon and BFL based miners.
What's your expertise with developing and assembling boards?

Where did you get this numbers?
So October delivery hash board is 350 EUR and the chips inside are 240 EUR ( October delivery) so 80-90 EUR for board and assembly, that is without controler and power group on this board .

We are a team of 2 professionals
I have master degree in electro-mechanic systems design and manufacturing. I work in  a custom machined parts and tooling  shop.
I've spent a few years working on the mechanics with  a Bulgarian manufacturer of Pick and Place machines.
My colleague is electronic engineer with background of 4 years in design of Microchip based custom electronic devices and a few years in IMS as a designer of electronic devices for automotive industry.

Where do you planning to solder and assembly boards? Third party manufacturer?

Did you made any working boards with avalon chips? Any demos?

For assembly we are using 2 local companies .
We made prototype of K1 and made some debugging.
In the same time we are working on our own design Avalon based miner with 16 bit Microchip PIC controler.
For the moment we have a test breadboard , and the Avalon chip is hashing. Sample PCB for this project are in production
We are going to use similar setup for bitfury chip based miner.
In the same time We'll offer Klondike K16 assembly service.
Videos as soon we have fully populated board working @ full speed

Q&A

Q: Hosting?
A: We are planning to offer hosting, but not in the near future.

Q: US Sales?
A: Site is live, try http://megabigpower.com/shop/

Q: Overclocking?
A: Theoretically yes, but this would require desoldering the regulator and voiding any warranty

Q: What is needed to run the kit?
A: You will need internet connection, ethernet cable and 12V Power supply that can provide enough power for the amount of boards you have connected to M-Card. We will announce exact power requirements when production units will be available.

Q: Heat sink?
A: This board was originally designed to be used without a heat sink. It has been tested to work without one, but is sensitive to ambient temperature. When we get the production boards and test them, we will see if one is required and how much heat sink or external fan will affect performance.

Q: How many Ghash/s per chip?
A: Demonstrated max speed of chip is 3.4GH/s with c-scape quick proto board and massive cooling. This could perhaps be further increased with even better cooling and board design. On our kits the chips are under clocked however to produce better efficiency and easier cooling.

Q: Why does it say 5GHASH on the reel. Is the chip that fast?
A: 5GHASH is the name of the device, so it's written on the reel. It's a name and our original target speed. It MIGHT be possible, but will really mean pushing the chip and board to it's limits.

Q: VAT Problems
A: There's a weird bug on the site's VAT verification plug-in. It works for some and not for others. It uses this API, where I manually checked some VAT that were sent to me, and funnily enough, it validates on the API site, but not through plug-in (that uses same API).
We are trying to solve this asap. Make sure you enter your VAT ID without ISO country code in the beginning!

If you require VAT 0% sales, please place an order and choose to pay with bitpay (but don't pay), and send message through the Contact Us form with your order # for instructions.

If you were incorrectly charged VAT it will be returned to you! Just give us some time to clean up this mess.

Q: What do I need for assembly?
A: Just your hands. No soldering required (kits). Bare chips are sold as is. There are plenty of documented open source projects for this chip on the forums.

Q: Where's the data-sheet?
A: Work in progress. We're still testing and measuring the chip. Data-sheets need surprisingly lot of work to be reliable. Lot of info can be found in this thread.

Q: Is there a reference design?
A: There's no one official reference designed released yet, but it's in the works.

Q: SEPA payments
A: Working on this. Finnish banks already supported.

Q: Company info etc
A: Company that is currently (albeit temporarily) operating BitfuryStrikesBack.com is a registered company in Finland. All operations will be transferred to a new company dedicated to this business. (We were in a hurry to start but bureaucracy in Finland is quite slow, hence I started taking orders to my old company.) I chose to keep company info private for now, because I don't want to associate it with this project. Company info will be made public, when transfer has been made.

I am a bit confuse here  Huh  Why H board price only 350 EUR? It said without master board. So it can't be used to hashing yet? Somebody please kindly tell me  Cheesy

The M and H board are the ones that the dealer in finland is selling
We are going to do our own design similar to K16, that have everything on single miner board

Hi Marto,

What's the 'theoretical' timeline on designing the custom board + production when you get the specs from Punin?
What's the expected cost of the custom board (with 16 chips)?

Hi Marto,

What's the 'theoretical' timeline on designing the custom board + production when you get the specs from Punin?
What's the expected cost of the custom board (with 16 chips)?
Finished design end of august. Specs as far the order is palced( bye E-mail from Punin)
Production - ready tested design with placed orders for PCB and components end of September.
Very rough estimate would be in 60 EUR range.

Regards: Martin

So theoretically when chips are received in October the custom boards are ready for assembly (1 week?) and delivery (another week?)
