Who know? But its not impossible after it price multiple almost ten times just this year and having people go crazy about buying bitcoin believing it would be a good investment that would uplift their lives in the future. Anyways 2020 is still quite far to predict what bitcoin would be.

I think it is true and bitcoin can become a very big crypto currency as if has the potential to become a global currency. Bitcoin has a very high value increase rate for now it has rised $4000 in just 48 hours which is a very fast rate. |

1million dollar is very possible, more news and mass adoption is coming. main stream media is one source of bitcoin increasing. so we should wait til 2020 make more btc by buying alts in the market.

Yes it is very much possible..may be 20120 or if not later.but bitcoin will reach moon.Just image in 1995 teh total email users in teh world were just 0.45% ..and today more than 50% of the world are using email.The total bitcoin users now in are less than 0.50% and bitcoin price is $16k..imagine if 10% or 20% of the world start using bitcoin ?

This is quite something to believe in. When you think about it though, it actually makes sense. Who would have thought it would go up this high. In a span of 1 year the btc price has doubled about how many times already. Earlier this year it was 1,000 something and now its at $16,000 something. If you multiply the price now based on the pace its going at today we might really end up having roughly a million price for btc in 2020. |

Of course, it's possible. Please keep in mind that Bitcoin has limited supply and you simply cannot "print" more of this currency/asset. The other reason, there is growing tendency to start saving in Bitcoin. People start saving in Bitcoin long-term, even for retirement. This will drive demand even further next years .... and supply is fixed. Interesting & exciting times!  |

I don't see bitcoin reaching 1 million as mcfee said. Maybe $30-$50K but passing this is very difficult even for bitcoin. Many different things would need to happen worldwide and some currencies crashing etc...
It’s over 16k now, 30k would only be double the current price. By the end of 2020 I definitely see the price being 6 figures. 1 million might be a bit much but 100k definitely. |

The price hikes of bitcoin will depend on how many trillions of dollars are poured in from CBOE and CME within their investment funded portfolios. If the public decides to get on board, which may take longer than expected due to the volatility of the marketplace, then bitcoin could possibly increase towards 100k per share down the road. For bitcoin to his a million dollars per share would need most of the world to be confirmed as vested into the currency. |

I think it's doable. It's gone up x10 this year, so by the end of 2018 it could certainly be $100k. Then $1000k by 2020 looks achievable.

Wow, what a post.
Indeed one million dollars is a insane price at the moment. If I had to guess, I would say, that it might climb to $100k-$200k during an insane pump and then "collapse" to normal (current) levels, which would be considered the end of the "bubble" - maybe sometime around the end of 2018 or in 2019.
Furthermore, there might be already too much money involved, that $1 million dollars can be achieved so fast. It's not impossible, but I highly doubt it until 2020, and if possible, it will be quite a ride (and back).

It's really posibble. I'm very bullish for bitcoin for that price and I think all alts will pump also. Compare the price of bitcoin from now and for the next 2 to 3 years it would be different story.

Wouldn't it create an excessive amount of new millionaires and billionaires?
I have this feeling that it's one of the reasons why it is impossible to reach that kind of price, but it could be simply my lack of knowledge of the argument.
And what would be the consequences of this on the general public?
