Trade data is now available in JSON and XML at :
 - https://bitcoin-central.net/trades/all_trades.json

It sports the same format as http://mtgox.com/code/data/getTrades.php, it just includes an extra currency field.

All timestamps are UTC.

Please PM me with an IP as I will eventually restrict the access.

Your site https://bitcoin-central.net/ responds with 403 except in browsers (even with other user agents). That's a bit annoying because bitcoincharts' admin backend won't let me add the URL to the database.

edit: http://bitcoincharts.com now shows trade data for bitcoin central

Awesome!

Ticker API and charts are the next high-priority features on my TODO.
Should be done by the end of the week-end if I manage to find a couple of hours when I'm sober Smiley

Fixes have been deployed.
You can now trust the order book.
Apparently not.  I have an order (funded) which is displayed in Your orders, not in the main Order book.  A part of it was traded.

Different currencies should be separated in a more visible way, IMHO.

Sjå https://bitmynt.no for veksling av bitcoin mot norske kroner.  Trygt, billig, raskt og enkelt sidan 2010.
I buy with EUR and other currencies at a fair market price when you want to sell.  See http://bitmynt.no/eurprice.pl
Warning: "Bitcoin" XT, Classic, Unlimited and the likes are scams. Don't use them, and don't listen to their shills.

I manually re-activated your order. Don't know why it was still inactive.
Probably just forgot to manually update your data after deploying the code fixes.

I agree on better separation of currencies, I got confused myself. I can think of the following options :
 - Replace LRXXX by LR$ and LR€
 - Color code
 - Tabbed order book

I like the first two, what do you think ?

I'd prefer separated tables for each currency pair. Sorting different currencies in the same table can be confusing (0.30 LREUR/BTC != 0.30 LRUSD/BTC) and you should expect a few hundred (or thousands) entries once your exchange gets popular. Tabs or two tables side by side should be more readable.

Second or third.  $ is a common symbol for several currencies.

It happened again..
I can reproduce what is happening.

I manually activated your order, manually checked your balance, manually triggered execution, the matching order got inactivated when it shouldn't have been, the same probably happened to your order.

Thank you very much for reporting!

- Replace LRXXX by LR$ and LR€

IMO, special characters are always a pain, and should be avoided.

  • '$' is used for several currencies around the world, not just USD
  • a standard keyboard cannot always generate these symbols
  • 'USD' or 'EUR' is easily representable on most world keyboards, and terminals
  • LRUSD, LREUR, etc. are what the currency provider uses

This. ISO currency codes are way clearer and you always know what to use.

New order book is here, comments welcome.

Also the API changes a little bit, pass a "separated=1" GET parameter in URLs if you don't want orders with similar price to get aggregated together.

I also added some fields in the API output.

You probably need to advertise outside of this forum to generate more trades as otherwise you are cannibalizing the other existing exchanges.
Don't get me wrong. It is great to have your service, but it is crucial to grow the bitcoin pie foremost vs. fighting on market shares.

nothing wrong with a little competition. Smiley that said, these two things are not mutually exclusive. one can advertise here, and also elsewhere.

further, this exchange is foss... so that means people can set up country-local exchanges easily with this code, which will grow the bitcoin pie.

Exactly, we are saying the same thing.

Advertising here in the forum is cool. And advertising outside - if done properly - can enable bitcoin to go through the roof.
