If you have a large capital invest in Bitcoin, if you have less and feel you cannot invest in that, then look at coins like Ethereum, Ripple, IOTA or Stellar.
These are long term investments and have potential to give good profit too.

I agree, investing in ICOs and Cryptocurrencies is all depends on the capital value you are having. If you're wise enough, you can divide the figures into each ICO. Splitting funds for investment is a clever idea if ever some ICOs will dropped or vanished still you have more backups.

Having mentioned this, you can invest in some good ICOs that exist now, one you can look at is trade.io which is an innovative blockchain trading platform, and is doing very well so far. It's raised $12mil in funds only in Pre-ICO and in 2 days the ICO will be launched. Visit the website for more detailed information. https://trade.io/

The strategy might be a working one (at least in theory), however, I'd suggest putting money only into those projects, which you believe can succeed

The risk of investing is always there, that's why do not just think about the benefits alone.

Have you ever heard of minexcoin, I think it's good. You can see it here https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/minexcoin/#markets
If we have mnx and parking, we will get 0.29% bonus daily or 5.5% weekly or 70% yearly https://mobile.twitter.com/minexcoin/status/935115901531287552

Note: I do not recommend, but just share information.
I agree with this try to add your investment with this coin then park it and lock it for 1 year Im sure you will amaze with the profits you will gain and also look for some coin that has active in developments for now which value are still cheap at this time.

Last week I invested around 1000US$ in pennystocks - yes those coins worth nothing at all today.
I opened up an account at hitBTC.com because a huge amount of pennystocks is listed there.
Then I switched to show me the cheapest coins and just bougt bewtween 2000 and 500.000 each - noch I got a portfolio of 20 pennystocks.
I made a portfolio on https://www.cryptocompare.com and added them all - and now I just look that up from time to time to see if one of my "pennys" becomes a "Dollar" or more.
That way I guess just waiting for 1-2 years will surly get my invest back but hopefully gives me some wealth ...

Long wait isn’t the way for investors on cryptomarket. It can give thousands dollars of profit within a year if you make the right decisions. If you want make the money through waiting then just pull your cash on deposit account at the bank.

I think buying altcoins in a completely random fashion may impede your profit substantially.

The simple strategy for outsized returns would be to look at each SOLID coin under 1$ on Coinmarketcap.com with a believable project/development team/hype and select those that are at or very near their all-,time lows.

That way at least you know you're not over- paying for them and the low valuation of the sub-1$ coins means your leverage is far better than when you invest in BTC or Ether, once the coins starts to rise.

Classic contrarian strategy, really, but since cryptos are in a beginning bull market by far the most effective way to really get those outsized returns, imo.

Also diversification, don't sink everything in one or two "sure bets". That's just gambling.

5-10 coins, equally weighted, should do the trick.

I suggest investing in coins that are strong, just like Ripple and Ethereum or Stellar, these coins are long term investments and go up immensely.

you should only rely on luck for these 1-2 years) so as to receive a bunch of coins and your coin can get lost in this stuff) well I wish the best of luck in your investment)

Altcoin is the most risky investment compare bitcoin so if you still decide to invest on altcoin then prepare yourself for the worst.
I'm ever hold pinkcoin and H20 as my altcoin investment and you can guess the result after I hold about the year... got delist from exchanger !

All investment comes with some degree of risk, and that's a fact. But that doesn't mean when investing you should go in blindly. You should have done some thorough investigation into the asset you'd like to invest in so you can make an informed decision.

Mate, you should better think before doing it. Make your profit on these alts now! Some of minor altcoins will be swallowed by other cryptos from top-10 or even top-20 and they will vanish. Do not risk and do not wait for 1-2 years.

Divide 1000 dollars into 100. Then buy each of the 20 to 30 coins. After two years, you are looking. You're going to be rich

There are some indicators on how to choose an altcoin for long term investment and researching will help you to find the best coin. The market share, transaction volume, how they develop the coin, utility value, among others will show if that coin is suited for long term investment. Risk are always there and they are vary in degree in every coin.
