I don't time at all. I just recognize where I have the money that I want to put into it, and then just buy it at the price it's at, at that time. Same for btc purchases.
If you're confident in the use-case of bitcoin, it really matters little when individual exchanges happen.
Do that, and if you're feeling more advanced implement an Optimal Growth Strategy based on the Kelly Criterion. If you're not a die-hard, never-sell hodler, of course. As someone who can't afford a ton of Bitcoin I am hesitant to do this because of the miner fees. Having to pay miners fees from the exchange to my wallet and then back to the exchange can be a decent percentage of profits when you have to do this multiple times. There is no real need to DCA, especially with concerns re: high tx fees. Just wait to see a slight fall in price - not long, not wait for a big crash, just a little dip from the absolute top prices - then buy, and wait a few years. Guaranteed gain unless you bought at the peak of a +300-1000%-price-appreciation-in-~2-months-bubble. Very much this. I want to dollar cost average but the constant fees are putting me off. If I buy every month I am worried that over the course of a year I'll be paying large amount of fees. Is this just part of dollar costing? |

I think the price is cheap and that's where I'll buy and save a little bit with a bit of price will buy a lot of bitcoin and get a lot of profit from the bitcoin

I think you need to buy bitcoin immediately. Because bitcoin price growing up never stopped. So you must get profit. I also think that bitcoin price never slump too much that you want. If it is slump but so little amount. So never wait for big amount slump. If you want to get profit, you need to buy bitcoin now.

For me you buy bitcoin now because many say that bitcoin price will increase in december and next year and if you going to invest now and your select is long-term because it's more profitable if You have a lot of money and you invest 2-3 years and start growing your bitcoin And should you buy a bitcoin should be on the secure market like poloniex, bittrex and your bitcoin will safe.

So... when to buy Bitcoin? Now.. as it's about to hit $13,000, or wait for a slump?
Waiting for bitcoin prices to go down significantly to take a buy position at this point seems difficult. It is better to start to buy now and no need to wait for the slump. Wish this will become the right decision. |

I think it is never late to buy bitcoin as when I bought it at 3000$ few months ago, it was seemed as expensive at that time but today everybody wish to buy at 3000$ which seems impossible now. Well someday it will seems impossible to buy at this price so buy now
I agree that it is never too late to buy bitcoin and I think if we buy bitcoin few years ago I think we could become millionaire now because as of now the price of bitcoin was totally expensive. Even though it was expensive you must still keep on buying it because it will you to make much income. |

As we see how far bitcoin went after this thread was created, so I also thinks that OP should analyze and assess if how far he can take the risk, anytime correction will happen and that will make some downfall if OP can take that then the timing still okay and buy bitcoin and hold would be profitable in the long run. |

From a long-term perspective, the price is not high. It's still not too late to buy Bitcoin. Because in the long term Bitcoin will grow tens of times. However, in the short term, you can wait for a correction, which most likely will not be until January next year (but it is not clear))).
