When the market is bullish, everyone sits down and relaxes, watching their asset value grow. Easy When the market is bearish, some people panic sell. Some are even losing money by selling lower than they bought (or for miners, less than what they paid for to mine it, TCO-wise). Some are holding but quite pissing their pants. Most are hoping that "someone do something". The legal matter regarding exchanges are getting a lot of focus, obviously. Some developers are willing to (finally) give Bitcoin a true economical value, and it doesn't have to be in the form of a classic exchange. We have exchanges already, we just want them to be more solid, or we want more solid ones (and remove the GoxSPoF™). These developers are currently (still) sitting down, and coding. Many Great Things, Bitcoin-powered, are definitely going to happen in the following years, even months. I'm not saying that USD/BTC is going to stay up again in the short term, I'm just staying that as long as your are not really in need of the money that you have stored in bitcoins, the safest bet you could make at this point is *holding*, even if the upward trend doesn't last in the near future. Just my thought for comments Cheers.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the
subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The
subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Here's a gratuitous bump from the bearish days last summer when BTC was down from 260 to about 70 for a few days. Am I the only one to think there's a pattern to be continued here?

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

No Sun please. We need to completely get rid of horrified get-rich-quick guys messing around bitcoin. I also need to dump my freshly earned fiat. Guess $400 floor would be fine

For those of us that have been involved a while the dips are still a bit painful. It does get easier though doesn't it? I felt more panic in the Summer than I do now, even though on "paper" my losses are so much bigger now because the value of Bitcoin is greater. I think we see the power of Bitcoin though and know it is just a matter of time.

Bearish market shake the weak hands but if you are here for the long term you don't care about the bear market, you might just buy a few more coins
