It's definitely not a thing considering how the OP doesn't even know that high memory clock isn't needed for keccak (he's running +570 where -502 would do just the same). Most likely he's just "multiplying" his reported hashrate with the "-f 0.5" parameter, hence his "almost 3000".

had to lower it because I was getting already sent nonce errors, but now I've gone from (with the same exact batch file) 1220MH/s to 1450MH/s with no changes but switching to the new miner.
as for my memory clock, I also play computer games and mine other algorithms, mainly equihash at the moment.
