Bitcoin's value vs Ethereum

I used to think that, as the value of bitcoin appreciates, so also should the value of Ethereum. But it seems the reverse is the case.
My question is, Why is it so? I need your opinions, for clarity sack and a better understanding that would really stand as a guide.

the system should be better repaired, so if there is a problem, it can quickly top it up if it is like this, it can make a lot of people confused by the system or network errors even though the two coins are the most used by people.

I think in this stage the investment on Bitcoin only possibly be the best for your future because in recent times it will developing very good under stability also increasing and comparing to the previous year this will be a good development right now.

Yes this should happen i think to most altcoins, if bitcoin goes up also the price of altcoins goes up but ussually happen that when bitcoin price goes up the price of altcoins goes down, i think most of people sell their altcoins for bitcoin and this cause the drop on ETH/BTC pair.

Sometimes it happen the way you think but there are time that the rivers is the case. Although, is most cases any time Bitcoin market value increases ethereum value also increase only on a rear occasion that rivers will be the case.

It's really hard to make conclusive conclusions completely. I think it can only be understood like this. Bitcoin and ETH are completely different and oppose to the platform. sometimes it is nice to re-visit someone's point of view couple of years ago. i wonder if the op already understood whats happening in crypto market. bitcoin is still the leading one and guiding the market trend. eth follows bitcoins price. but a strong platform hard to beat.
they have their respective purposes in this crypto community. so both are essential to exist

The two coins you have to hold because it's at the core of a few other coins, Bitcoin and Ethereum have different platforms what you say, but so far it's a bitcoin that many people hold.
