So the first Volta actual GPU has shown its face, looks like they are teasing with a TITAN V model
https://hothardware.com/news/nvidia-volta-titan-v-12gb-hbm2-110-tflops
Article states: about same power as Pascal
my thoughts: ya but WAY better compute performance?

25% more CUDA cores than a 1080ti, but they want 3k USD right now :O
Would you buy one? Does this mean Volta by Xmas?

RIP AMD, again.
aww and VEGA was just coming into its own Cheesy

at this price  - of course, absolutely  NO!
I hope the price for gtx1080ti will become more friendly, maybe for some short period of time
that will be nice )

but I'm sure NV will release some other version with lower prices.. then we will see..

This card isnt for gaming its for AI and deep learning where those tensor cores come in to play. Also new gtx will probably have gddr6 memory instead since micron was already mentioning it and without those tensor cores. We will probably see 30% increase at the same tdp so only thing that left is to hope that 1080ti equivalent stays under 1k$

hardly RIP amd lol, as long as those stay high priced average miner wont buy them and being that its a new gpu id prolly assume it will hash for crap right off the batt. also have to take into consideration how much ya make per watt etc. 3k for a gpu that will prolly take MONTHS to roi which means a rig of them will take even longer and that doesn't even account for the basic hardware that costs around 400 dollars

Any ideas on the Volta specs for commercial lines?
As the Titan, the price is not affordable for most miners.
