- Ethereum can be mined, while Ripple cannot be mined. (Ethereum does not have a supply cap as of this writing whereas Ripple is finite and has a total supply of 100,000,000,000).

-Ethereum is a blockchain which decentralized apps can adopt or build on. Ripple is similar to a software which can be adopted by banks or financial insitutions to carry out transactions.

-Each Ethereum transaction costs ‘Gas’ that goes to the miners that complete or confirm your transactions. Whereas Ripple gets destroyed after every transaction.

- Ethereum is a smart contract platform. Ripple is a transaction settlement platform. In Ethereum, program code can be executed, for smart contracts, Ripple does not have this functionality,

I want to buy some coins. Which is the better to buy now ethurum or ripple?
Are you sure you only want to choose among the two? If I were you, buy Litecoins and some Ethereum Cash... Noobs are crazy because they buy those who are already at a high price. If you want to go BIG, invest in low-priced altcoins and wait for their turn.

In the longer run, Only ETH price will be soring like Bitcoin. Myself has more confident with ETH when compared to Ripple, even though they venturing a lot of signups with the banks the price is in the same position. I think ripple is the long-term project where it will take more than 10 years to get the stable price in the market.

Ripple as a project is really interesting but the token itself is not really used, I would not buy it...

Instead Ethereum has both a really interesting project as smart contract platform and the token is actually used as gas in the platform (plus as store of value and method of payment)

it depends upon which one would get your interest with. both of them are already stable in the crypto market so it depends which one you can afford to invest with

if at the moment you have no ETH and no XRP, then I would definitely suggest to buy ETH.
Then, if you want to diversify a little, you should have LTC, DASH, XMR and probably some
other coin...only after this I would consider to buy some XRP

i think i would go for ripple becauase in this way although it is long enough before you can get the profit it would take a month but still the reward is so promise because it has a big profit on it so i would prefer ripple

I'd invest in both, no doubt.
Both are different but they have different purpose so I expect for both of them a really good 2018.

I would suggest you to invest 70% of your money in Ethereum and invest the rest in Ripple. Personally, I would do that if I had to choose between these two.

ethereum is still the main choice of ripple. ripple currently still has a low price and is suitable for investment, but future potential ripple can not be predicted.
ethereum has been tested and is good for investment or buying and selling

Personally, I would buy an etherium. As for me, this is a more promising coin than ripple. Especially since the riple in the summer there were some misunderstandings related to the developers and the number of coins from these developers. Therefore, the etherium is unequivocal.
