Ethereum is now well known for its enthusiastic user base who got into the cryptocurrency world for the idea of decentralized community based solutions. Also, Ethereum is mostly about collaborating between peers on projects that they believe in. Ripple on the other hand is a single company that originally came up with some tokens meant for facilitating distant financial transactions and lowering their respective fees. Furtherly, the general consensus is that both have very valuable features which is why many people invest in both. It’s also very easy to exchange the two.

Ethereum is superior to Ripple and more fans. From that, I chose Ethereum because it is more profitable and I can count on it in the future. Ripples are also good coins but lose competitiveness with ETH.

Today both currencies lose their weight. So you should think in perspective and evaluate the technical side of the question. Which one is better from this side? Ethereum is based on distributed, this is the competitive edge.

If you thinking of investing in ICOs then Ethereum is probably best.

Fact is, Ethereum is a lot cheaper and a proper useful cryptocoin not a scam.

To buy all remaining eth costs: (outstanding coins times price) 48448894 * $397 = 19.2342109 Billion US$
To buy all remaining xrp costs: (outstanding coins times price) 60898204887 * $0,5077 = 30,9180186 Billion US$

eth 32,96% not circulating still need to find a buyer
xrp 60,90% not circulating still need to find a buyer (+ Jeb's 5 Billions and others... effectively 80%-90% need to be sold)

"The existing Visa credit card network processes about 15 million Internet purchases per day worldwide. Bitcoin can already scale much larger than that with existing hardware for a fraction of the cost. It never really hits a scale ceiling."  Satoshi Nakamoto, April 2009          Avoiding taxes is totally legal if you consider and respect the law.

Normally in these topics I recommend the Ethereum as a stable growth coin. But Ripple is also very nice, so I will say so. If not hunting adventures and routine trade - Ethereum. If you want adrenaline Ripple.

I want to buy some coins. Which is the better to buy now ethereum or ripple?

Although Ripple is considered as a centralized coin, I believe that it will strongly enough grow. There are many reasons for it: first of all, the integration of ripple technology by many banks around the world and also the correct control of emission and spendings of coins in the system.

both are very good to buy but I personally prefer to buy ethereum because I think the ethereum price increase is much faster compared with a stable ripple price, ethereum is the best alt after bitcoin and very strong in the market, so it depends on you buying ethereum or ripple

Ripple is not even a crypto and should not be in the markets. It is so centralised that the guy can potentially do whatever he wants with the price and the news are mostly fake and mean nothing.

I choose the Ethereum. Ripple is a centralized currency, so Ripple violates the first "law" of cryptocurrencies. Ethereum has a huge potential, I hope in the future Vitalik Buterin will continue to improve his project.

It is suggested that you buy more Eth, ETH with absolute leading advantage in application, we know that Ripple has a lot of advance in the two years, some government agencies and large banks have chosen and Ripple, but ripple is also criticized by everyone more and more central, and the main problem of the encrypted world seems to be a bit far away. I am optimistic about the future of eth, and there will be more big companies and enterprises choosing ETH.

Please stop promoting some platforms like etoro : IF you buy your cryptos at etoro you do not actually own the crypto !!! For example if you buy ethereum you have your private key to reach your ethereum but on etoro you just buy option calls on ehereum !
