Both good coins. But I think, between ripple and Ethereum, ethereum is best at all times. Ethereum's price is rising and stable. Ethereum's future is much better.
Although they're both Top Altcoins still Ethereum is the clear winner when it comes to profit.

Yes you are right with that but I suggest you must choose Ethereum especially if you will go for long term hold because it's much greater than ripple really greater. But if you really want ripple I must suggest you go for margin trade on it that's much profitable trade on ripple. Do your own search about margin trade and go for ripple or bitcoin and for your long term go for ethereum. Goodluck.

ethereum is a good altcoin, almost ICOs running here are based on ethereum that's why it value wont disappear, unlike ripple, its price may dump at any moment because it is manipulated by some people who has the power to make its price move like a puppet.

I am not a big fan of Ethereum, but if I need to chose one between ETH and XRP, then I would chose Ethereum. Ripple looks like a scam to me, and it is supported by quite a few of the major banks and fraudsters. Ethereum is not perfect, but at least it is better than Ripple.

I prefer Ethereum but i suggest you wait for the deep because currently bitcoin is already been pump while Ripple continuous to drop  because of a huge pump last year. Check the chart always so you have a guide when to buy and sell.
