You can surely go for ethereum over ripple garbage. Ripple is for day trade only if you ask me. POS is expected from ethereum. If this happens, the price of ethereum will be high and the electricity cost of mining will be lower than this.

I choose Ethereum because for me ETH is just like bitcoin. The value of it is depends upon the demand of the market and its supply.
Unlike ripple! Ripple is regulated by the financial institution so they can control what price of XRP will be.

That is true but ripple has some big pumps incoming for me and investing in it in few next weeks could be more profitable but etherum is more confident to be hodl for some next months, not weeks.
