Just take a look on were bitcoin was in January $1000 and now in December bitcoin is above $13000 that is a good sighn that 2018 is going to be a great year for the king of cryptocurrencies (bitcoin). We expect more price rise in early 2018 and before the end of 2018 bitcoin will price up to $100,000 and that will be a great year.

We all know that this year we experienced bitcoin surging up so high from $1k in January then on this month of December it almost touch up to $20k. So, do we have to expect more on Bitcoin just like this in the coming years that will go through?
For me I think I will be positive as this years has and hold the Bitcoin that I have right now.
Ofcourse yes we will finalize every year like this year because reason behind the bitcoin's price to increase are many instead to be one . First reason is demand that is attractive price reason and that attraction makes investors to invest more and more and another thing that we can see is supply that is not like the market have demand , it is because mining of bitcoin is now much tough work , so making of new bitcoin are not easily possible in current time . And another factor is fork that is giving lots of free bitcoins , so why not people will invest in bitcoin , so absolutely we will see many years same like this year end . |

I'm on the positive side. I feel that as mainstream investors introduce more speculation into the markets prices will continue to drive upward. It's not exactly the same argument as the increased adoption line, but it's similar. It's like more adoption by traditional wall st investment firms as opposed to by users. I'm sure it's going to be bumpy, but long term I think we're going to continue to see massive growth.

good growth with bitcoin will trigger an unnatural price spike. and that could happen for next year with a very high increase will make bitcoin at the highest peak

I am following you to hold the bitcoin I have and I want to make more bitcoin in many ways. I still expect more on bitcoin and I believe that bitcoin will reach another higher price in next year. we only need to wait until the price increase back and in that time, I am sure that we can make a lot of profit from selling our bitcoin. but now, we are in red zone and bitcoin price is going to down and I am expecting the price stay at the price now until in the middle of this month. |

I hope the year 2018 bitcoin would be better. Hopefully the price of bitcoin greater than in 2017. This year the price is very high and no one would have thought that tall. Hopefully the bitcoin's getting well known and sought after many people again. so it costs continue to soar even higher. |

If you can see bitcoin over past 7 year, it's always grow exponentially so I can guess that bitcoin will uptrend even more in 2018
So it's just a matter about how much do you put your faith on bitcoin as your main investment like no other !
If you ask me, I still believe and it will happen on next year !

I do not think you should expect high bitcin prices in the next year, because bitcoin is hard to guess, and I think bitcoin is a difficult mystery to solve. let time answer it.

Expect 2018 to be a very big year for the crypto world as of 2017. I also hope next year bitcoin will be better.But bitcoin price increase is not an indicator of improvement.I am certainly glad to see how to invest my money but I am not sure that the price increase will not be causing their own collapse.

For Bitcoin, probably not. This was probably the best year it will see. For dozen or so altcoins....2018 will be their year. By 2019 my bet is that governments will start cracking down on cryptos....probably by July 2019. |

The Bitcoin price rose with over 800% this year, which is astounding. If we have this kind of growth every year, then Bitcoin will surely go ballistic and we will go mainstream soon. We have only seen the tip of the iceberg, with a small percentage of people globally adopting Bitcoin. If we repeat this performance every year, then Bitcoin will be regarded as the new Gold.  |

I think that next year will also be about the same as this one. This year was much better than last year and next year will be much more better than this year and that’s the good thing which I like most in bitcoin that it bring improvement every time if we compare bitcoin with last year so every year you will feel it’s different than last year so I’m very optimist about bitcoin that next year bitcoin will bring some more changes then ever and its price will be more high then before and its users will also be increased. |

Seeing how almost all replies in this thread are highly optimistic on the future price hike of BTC, the contrarian in me has to come out on the other side of the argument (at least somewhat..)
I think the current price level of BTC is a big deterrent for new investors, so there will probably be quite the bull run in altcoins in 2018, simply because more new people in crypto will bet that among the alts they can find if not the next BTC, then at least the next Ether.
Coupled with the prospect of BTC futures potentially having an effect on the price of BTC not unlike that seen in the precious metals market where big banks are doing some highly unsavoury backroom manipulations, I feel the road towards 100,000$ for a BTC may well be far less straight in trajectory than most here envision..
