I had a bunch of alt coins during the ride up this year, but unfortunately sold them before the recent spikes these past few weeks. Managed to still profit about $25k. Now I'm looking to dump all them in one or two alt-coins for the long hold, of course not including BTC.

If you were me, what would you choose?

I think cobinhood is a zero fee exchange starting from 18th of this month is a high potential unique project, it’s token is trading around 0.20 usd at the moment on etherdelta but i think this one seriously has a potential to reach $1-$2.

Nice profit xD, depends on the coin nature that you are going to dump, those alt's with prices reflected through anticipated grow with new features/milestones, roadmaps would be kept so any spike wouldn't be missed, but for those with a solid staking, long term profit distribution should be discard if you planning to focus instead on two alt-coins as their growth would be much slow... as well going too diverse on these revenue distribution alts might just not right for me.

I'd advocate Ethereum.

LOTS OF ETHEREUM ENS (.eth) NAMES AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE, CONTACT FOR DETAILS.

If I were you I would buy Etherium with any hesitance. Look at the ETHUSD pair and see how good Etherium has been holding about the 400USD mark. Without any doubt I would buy it as I feel its the only safe alt to put money into right now when bitcoin is being extremely volatile.

I would definitely do my own research regarding what coin to put money in and what coin to leave alone.
Threads like this are made for shills.

Etherium is a good altcoin for long term holding but if you aware in the news this past few day etherium faced serious problem the eth network became slowly because of this trend kitties I hope vital will fix this issue.
For me if i have a $25k money i will buy monero eos and litecoin this is my best pick 3 altcoin to hold for longterm the dev are doing awesome to make the project run smoothly.

how did you choose all the altcoins you "dumped all your money in" the first time? that obviously got you a nice profit of $25k. now use the same method of choosing these coins again and make profit instead of relying on others.

...If you were me, what would you choose?

i have invested in Litecoin, NEM, and IOTA and i will always keep some Byteball for long term.

Please don't bet all your money on one single altcoin, spread the risk. Ethereum seems to be the safest choice right now, but I think iota will go up as well. It's going strong for now and looks like it has more potential.

Do not ever mention how much money you have on the internet, you inviting hackers. 25k might not be a mouth watering sum but it is still something.
Altcoins are exteremely risky, so you should never put all your money in altcoins. You also should never take investment advice from other people.
Your post is like an amalgamation of don'ts.

If I understood this correctly, you wanna get 1 or two altcoins. You can pick litecoin, nem and iota probably. But care for your portfolio since they're volatile ones like bitcoin.

With that kind of money I wouldn't feel safe investing it all in just altcoins. I think Bitcoin has the best future because it was the first crypto-currency ever created and therefore has the most trust. Also because it's development team is working on a technology called the lightning network which is a permanent solution for the scaling problems and will make it possible handle millions to billions of transactions per second. This technology makes Bitcoin faster than Visa and MasterCard together. I would invest the rest of your money in Litecoin, it's identical to Bitcoin but not overpopulated, so it doesn't have the scaling problems yet. This coin will probably implement the same technology, maybe even earlier than Bitcoin, like it did with Segwit.

Two altcoins are one coin might be risky though it depends your expectation. Lisk is very good coin and bitcoin cash may be a good option. I think 5 coins will be good.

I think it's better to choose coins perpektivnye and with less risk (top 100) You have a large amount. Break it into ten coins. Reduce risks Cool

I will suggest that you should invest in LTC and Ethereum. And I will not suggest that you dump all your money into single altcoin.

Long holds are normally best used on coins with large market caps. Unless you find a really good ICO. I don't know how diversified you are and how much $25K means to you. If it means a lot, you want low risk which is BTC. If it means a little to you, go for higher risk. But outside of the top 5 (or so) market cap coins, long holds are really hard to play. Long on BTC is the safest crypto play.

First of all you need to wait for a grand correction. It will be very soon for sure! When it happens take a look at Monero, Nem, Verge, Dash. BTW you can invest in just any top-20 coin which will be at the bottom!

Most alts seem like they took a kicking when Bitcoin went on it's crazy rise.
That is except IOTA.  So I would expect that the other big alts would catch back up with Bitcoin over time, but who knows with IOTA.

LTC seems to be being used as a way of getting money out of Bitfinex, so is being traded a lot and has gone up.  I would expect ETH, XRP, DASH and others to follow soon enough.

your idea is right. Because the price of BTC is very high now. It does not exclude the risk of a sharp fall in the back price. The funds can be concentrated on a few very potential altcoins. This valuable altcoins will have a high rise potential.
