Well the first thing I do when I have an idea is do a simple Google search and see what's already out there, it's good practice to do this. So, either the OP did the search and decided to copy my idea intentionally or he did not do his due diligence  which makes him a bit inept. I agree, releasing my coin now will probably screw everything up for both of us. But I have spent a lot of time and money on getting this project going so I guess I will still release it and see what happens.

Well since my project is basically screwed now because I tried to do the right thing and release a coin the right way, I basically have 3 options, first is to not release my coin after many hours of work getting the website up and running, the forums up and running, a twitter account, a facebook account, a google+ account, buying the domains, paying for hosting, etc. Or second, I could just give up on my coin, I can not change the name as I have everything already basically completed with the Diamondcoin name. Or 3rd, I sell off my right to the website, forums, etc to this person if they want it. Option 2 is off the table. Option 1 is what I plan on doing. If it screws up both coins then so be it, they should have done a little bit of due diligence beforehand.
