Hi racquemis.

I like the name of it, makes me feel comfy.  Smiley

I can only show you where you could advertise it to make it more popular.

First everyone runs to ICO useless blockchain spinoffs, and now there's a spoof of bicointalk - down to the color scheme? Pretty sketchy.

I visited your website and the resemblance between your and bitcointalk is so close. I think it would be better if it's a bit different. Also, how about adding to the description about what does your forum has that others don't.

Users here have been longing for the features that this forum is missing. We had been waiting for the new and much better forum which is still continually being developed.

You have a very good name for the forum and domain name but the theme itself is just the same from bitcointalk. You know that imitations aren't taking too long in what they are trying to duplicate. It's better if you'll try to use "café" on your forum and make sure that you'll not have resemblance of this forum.

We had been waiting for the new and much better forum which is still continually being developed.
I don't think that there will be any upgrade anymore, this is being liked by most of us here just like this created thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2054610.0

Thx all for the replies...

At this time the forum software i put on it is just to not have an emtpy space on the domain. I am planning on putting a theme up, more towards the "cafe" part of it...

I appreciate all your advice.

While a spinoff of bitcointalk is numb, you do understand that the theme being used is the default theme of SMF, correct?

I visited your website and the resemblance between your and bitcointalk is so close. I think it would be better if it's a bit different.

Which is because of the same forum software and theme (has been changed already, though).

@racquemis:

I'd advise setting the forum up properly before making it public, which means at least:
 - Proper forum theme that ties in with the name
 - Setting up multiple forum categories and forums, depending on who and what you want to address
 - Sorting out the rules

The first impression is important for most people. Right now, there is just no incentive to be interested in your forum project because it lacks a visible concept apart from just being "a forum", which is what bitcointalk already has to offer + an active community.

If there is nothing to set yourself apart from other projects, you will have a hard time building a community and having a lacking presentation will make it in no way easier for you.

I was waiting for my 360s post delay, but this is what I was going to say. It is imperative to do these things first if you want any interest.

New theme has been installed

When trying to promote a new forum, or website in general, it is best to get your theme installed, base content in place, and have the majority of the work done.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.
I agree with you 100%, this also why my topic is just about finding moderators and members to help me setup the forum. The official launch will be done when the forum is ready. Maybe i should have communicated this better.
So to be clear, this is not a post for the launch of the forum, there will be a lot of changes from this point and a lot of work before i launch it.

Regards.

This is the trickiest part of this project. How will @racquemis build the forum and get enough active members posting. I think I know some sites which you can hire good posters with a nice English since those who are eligible for payment had undergo a review by that website before they can participate.

What do you feel that you will do better than bitcointalk? Will members rate the quality of the posts and answers as in stackexchange?  How will you differentiate yourself? I've been lurking here for years, why would I move over to your forum? Or, at the very least, add your forum to my reading list?

I was a forum moderator for Bitbiz.io {site closed down} ...Most of the time, we had to deal with manually cleaning up after

bots. It became a full-time job to manage this. If I can give you a little advice... implement some kind of bot counter measures

like Bitcointalk did with Capthas. This will make life so much easier for your forum moderators. Then they only need to deal

with human spammers.  Angry

I've been to a forum that looks like bitcointalk that paying Bitcoin for a good quality poster before but it is not a good website since i am having a problem of time management. Most of the people who post their was out of topic and they keep on spamming those shitty post and there's no moderator that can control them. So, that's why i left it because people there are lacks of discipline, spamming a low quality post.

i would be interested but not if the forum becomes a bitcoin fixed one, bitcoin isnt the future in crypto its highly damaged now with 60 usd transaction costs you should make it called something like "crypto-talk" or "cryptoeconomics board" not bitcoin talk and give more attention to cryptoeconomics in general because bitcointalk has bitcoin related most forum users, and you would directly compete with them,

this bitcoin forum was founded by satoshi himself.
