Stumbled across this news: http://www.newsbtc.com/2017/12/08/ico-scammers-new-cybercriminal-breed/
The thing is someone threatened to give a bad review on ICO if they refuse to pay him for a good review. Well, they refused, and the guy started to call them a scam. I'm pretty sure they are not. But anyway, why would anyone do such a thing? Waste their time to do bad to others? I mean his time could be used better than that.

For a quick and easy bucks of course, ICOs is the easiest way to collect money from investor and many bad people out there use ICOs to scam people. It will bring a negative thing into ICOs though, but i'm sure people and investor are smart nowdays. They will not invest on fake/scam project.

Damn! How in the world there is a such living person do that? He shouldnt come to this world!
Abusing his multiple accounts to threaten ICO Team, it is no different than robbery, except it is online and no legal consequences yet for that kind of abusive behaviour, only blocking account wont do much because he can easily create 1000 more account

This earth is full of both good and evil humans. It is really shameful that anyone could condescend to that level because of some filthy lucre. But then we have these unscrupulous humans littered here and there. It is for that same reason I am skeptical about the authenticity of reviews on ICOs from this site: https://icorating.com

Because they want to get money in an easy way, they are hungry to have it. By doing bad deeds they can earn without exerting effort. We have different personalities if there are good then there are also bad people. Scammers are everywhere and what we can do is be careful to be a victim.

Its the same thing in the real world, people would rather believe the fake news written by bloggers or new reporters wannabes and is a new kind of high way robbery minus the guns, knife and bonnets. But, if you think your product or project is really a legit project and can stand on its own, why be afraid of bad reviews from those low life scammers. Let the people be the judge of your project and by word of mouth, people will know if project is legit or not.

With money involved some people would really do anything to get some money, greed number one reason of it. Scammers are lurking everywhere waiting for the perfect opportunity in every single way they could earn ,  their mindset is set to earn regardless of how they get it the money good or bad.

In essence in generally I think, the more increasingly popular of crypto currency to many people.. it would be more people also who intends doing scams from various ways that can be done.
We just need to be more vigilant with the developments of the world of crypto currencies until nowadays that more familiar by many people, of course.. scamers would be thinking of certain ideas that come on their mind.

Just like in real life, there will always be people with personalities like this. Some will be motivated by envy (jealous of success), greed (wants to steal idea), or even simple spite (person gets off by seeing other suffer). When you encounter people like this online, i've found that the best recourse is to ignore. Block the person if you need to because once you start engaging him/her, that is what usually triggers the person to attack you or your ICO more.

It is dishonest but that is the way things are, it is not rare for icos to pay someone to write articles favorable about them, so it is not surprise that the opposite were to happen as well, where someone asks money to give a good review and if the ico does not comply then its gets a bad review, this kind of thing happens not only in icos but almost in everything in life where reviews are involved.
Yes, a lot of things like that. I guess it's been around a long time and not just ICO's needing such a review. Many online business websites or online jobs pay writers for their services that write good article reviews. This is not a good way to promote an ICO or an online business. In addition can be misused, the person who writes articles can be careless and erratic. I myself have never read such a review article. I'm usually looking for a good ICO by looking at the various discussions on the internet. For example like in facebook group and online forum. We should stop reading at various review from unknown sites.
This is why review sites can lose so much credibility if in the review site you have a lot of fake reviews of people saying that a product is great and real users find out that is not the case, I have read that Amazon has that problem as well, there are people offering this service for Amazon and giving great reviews to products that do not deserve it and bad reviews to competitors.

It is a bad way to earn money by scamming. However some people choose to earn money using such easy way. Just like in real life, there are robberies and thieves.

Money buys the character of the people and those who do scam are those who does not have the morale to identify what is right and wrong . It's very basic if you ask a child he will tell you but when you grow up this things are forgotten and start cheating people.

People have different mindset and strategy to survive, for us not right but for them maybe this is the right thing they must do. Besides that, ICO is " collect money " and I believe most people ( not all ) will do something not right to get part of ICO. As investor/ trader/ bounty hunters/ customers I suggest not do that, keep on our track to get money with right way. I'll waste my time to fix my strategy to get profit, it's worth and meaning something for me and my family.

If you do investing on ICO you have to do a brief research on the project. You will get the profit according to the coin goes bigger in the chart. That would be possible if the project potential to survive in long time.
Most of the scammy ICO will have high capital investment of the project. Then they will scam that they have not achieved the expected growth and reduce the share of the promoters and investors.
