Bitcoin in 2018

It will be intersting to see how cryptos will do in 2018. One thing I know for sure , the time of alts will come in 2018 but bitcoin may fall again to 10k , just my prediction.

By this time last year, When Bitcoin was itching closer to $1000, Everyone was predicting a possible downtrend all the way back to $200 price levels. No one even predicted btc will hit $17K and beyond. So I think Your predictions are a little bit off. For me, Bitcoin will reach new heights as it's user base doubles with each passing year.

Forget about last year just go back to 8 months when the price was fluctuating around $1000 and there were some random self proclaimed experts who used to wrote paragraphs of negative reviews and posts about bitcoin saying it's gonna crash or go back to $200 or double digit mark but everything proved wrong and even I feel the same that bitcoin will reach new level but this time we can bet on altcoins as well.

The year 2017 was significant for bitcoin, many people learned what does bitcoin mean and wanted to buy it. It pushed the price very high. But just imagine, even now, with the price of almost 20k$ about bitcoin is known just for 5% of world... What do you thing will happen,when this number will be 10-15%? Hardly to imagine, what price we will see next year, may be 50k$ or 100k$.

I don't think that BTC will keep rising if take a very long term. If one day another cryptocurrency overcomes BTC in capitalisation - this day will be a start day for loosing BTC its dominance. Look at ETH - it can overcome BTC one day)

Everyday bitcoin is becoming interesting to everyone...Day by it increases...from the beginning to now,it amazed us...now the price is near 17000$...so in 2018,I think it will reach 25000$ for sure...

If you would ask me about this last month or maybe two weeks ago, I would tell you that it's impossible. But having witnessed and seen how bitcoin has risen in terms of value in the recent weeks, I would believe and bet on the fact that it can reach 25k dollars or even more within the first quarter of next year. However, I also want for it to maybe hold for a time to give a chance for altcoins to regain its value and not die out. Many altcoins have been affected negatively in just the recent weeks.

     Bitcoin continue creating noise in online market and because of its high price many investors of bitcoin continue investing. I think nobody can stop the popularity of bitcoin and I think this coming 2018 it will make a differnce or improvement because it is famaus maybe some stores will accept bitcoin in exchange of goods or products they sell.

What makes the bitcoin stronger is the technology used by it, - the blockchain, where most other major companies, financial institutions and other cryptocurrency are modelling the blockchain technology. The uprising of IOTA crytpocurrency was a big threat to blockchain technology as it developed its own decentralizing network called the Tangle, it is more faster than bitcoin's blockchain, if the Lightning Network project for bitcoin will not be imposed then Tangle could possibly gain a major position for decentralized network. Hardfork was not a major threat anymore against bitcoin but it would be against IOTA's Tangle. For 2018, it is a big challenge for bitcoin on how to maintain another all time high, when more and more emerging technologies are coming each month.

I think by next year bitcoin will be more known worldwide and hopefully a lot of business-owned establishments like restaurants would accept bitcoin. I am even planning to go out of the country next year and one thing I was looking at on a country I would love to visit or stay on vacation would be a country that would accept bitcoin at some establishments.

Bank Indonesia will prohibit payment transactions using bitcoin by 2018. This bitcoin prohibition will be regulated in a Bank Indonesia or PBI regulation that is planned to be issued in the near future.
