You can even CPU mine easily on Testnet. Maybe put up an offer of a few Bitcents for Testnet coins - you might get them faster than begging here! Wink

https://www.coinlend.org <-- automated lending at various exchanges.
https://www.bitfinex.com <-- Trade BTC for other currencies and vice versa.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I'm working on a bitcoin service as well. Anybody could spare a few testnet bitcoins for testing?  Smiley

How often is testnet reset? If it's every now and then, how do you keep testnet bitcoins from getting any value at all? I mean, there is a new alt-coin called Bytecoin which is essentially a clone of the original Bitcoin. In fact, you could say, when it started, it was just the same as testnet, except that it is beginning to have serious hash rates, and people are actually paying BTC for BTE.

Also, for example, how would I go about doing some CPU mining on testnet using the bitcoin-qt client? I'm willing to wait a few days. What is the difficulty now with testnet? Is it always half of real-net?
