Good choice buying Litecoin?

Hey guys,

Ive been into bitcoin since 2013, sold at 1k but recently got back on the bandwagon when it hit 10k.. I'm really confident that since alot of traders with alot of money now have their eyes on BTC, the value should keep increasing. I think that long term though, some altcoins have better potential for being use for everyday transactions so I invested in a couple of alt as well, including ripple and waves. I remember litecoin from 2013, it always looked like bitcoin junior, following bitcoin price, but never looked into it, didnt think it had an extra value added to it.. But now I'm seeing the value is going up even faster than bitcoin so I decided to buy it at 210$ because I think that since bitcoin is getting alot more exposure, the coin people will fall on if they don't want to buy 0.00X amount of btc, they will go for his little brother Litecoin. Did I buy too high? I sold XMR for Litecoin.. Is that a good decision? I heard alot of great thing about XMR but Litecoin is on alot of top 5 alt list and is just going wild so didnt feel like missing out.

This a good idea much better you buy those altcoin who in top 5 list in crypto market exchange, the ethereum, monero, wave, ripple and litecoin, this is now hot altcoins who belongs in top 5 list. Well, litecoin is have a big opportunity and potential in the future i keep this coin now even though i did not see now the gained of what i have invest but in long term purposes. If you have enough fund for this altcoins much better buy them all and keep it for a long run.

Yes, honestly you buy your Litecoin too high. FYI it's the first time Litecoin has ever reach $200 range. Litecoin is rising too quickly lately, and it's usually come with a great correction too. If I were you I'd sold those Litecoin while I'm still in profit. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan and supporter of Litecoin too. I also have stated numerous time that major altcoin with great development like ETH and LTC could takeover Bitcoin in terms of daily usage as Bitcoin fees getting higher every day. If Bitcoin never had that technology to accommodate several thousands tx per second, the "currency" market share of Bitcoin will fall to LTC and LTC and Bitcoin will be the "gold" of the future rather than "currency".

Even Charlie Lie, the creator of Litecoin, warned us against the potential volatility of LTC

Buying LTC is extremely risky. I expect us to have a multi-year bear market like the one we just had where LTC dropped 90% in value ($48 to $4). So if you can't handle LTC dropping to $20, don't buy

My opinion is I won't buy Litecoin right now because it's rise too fast within 1-2 week , look at January 2017 price only below $10 , I think it's pump by some whales and I'll wait for correction only entry market to buy Litecoin

For me, litecoin growing very slow but confidently. If you are thinking long term (1 year and more) investment you can get in into litecoin. Otherwise you may have to wait long time to get some profit.

I also have the same opinion if buying litecoin at this time is not right because the price is too high, maybe in the 2018 can buy at a slightly cheaper price when there is a decrease.

Litecoin grow up last few day is not very slow, it's real FOMO, people talk about it, buying it. Litecoin is good coins for long-term, mid-term, short-term or even a day-trader.

Understanding the flow, its always like this when some news or updates happen, people will fomo to and ride very risky for now
but if you can take some risk then you can go and enjoy the game, keep in mind that hype happen when people start to play

Ethereum is better suited for your long term strategies! Ethereum platform is fully develop with a lot more use compare to litecoin! I think litecoin is getting all the attention because of bitcoin. Aside from that, there is nothing fantastic about it, Selling XMR  litecoin is a huge mistake! I hope you get your XMR back!

Yeah,litecoin is also a good potential coin which may give good profits in the coming years.Litecoin made a huge price bump in the last two days which helped it to reach the all time high of $250, so we can expect price growth in the coming days.But ethereum also good chice in altcoins for long term so split your investment to reduce the risk of losing your investment.

I don't recommend to buy LTC for a long holding now. The price should be a little bit dumped after that explosion. But if you are a trader you can make some profit with it in a short term even now.

LTC is too volatile right now. I expect a huge correction in next couple days (to $190 or so) and up again to $500-600 in 2018

I like the volatility since it makes it easier to trade. The best part of Litecoin is that it can quickly be sent to other exchanges. Confirmation times are super fast. Unlike stupid IOTA.

Think we should focus on different coin because LTC has received too much response in very short period of time. Such coin tend to loose the potential of spiking even further very quickly. The reason is people move towards another coin when they are done taking the profits and making enough for themselves as well as ready to invest into different coins. In such case LTC will loose the market cap very easily and then the price drop will start occurring. Im not sure myself about the LTC and when we have less percentage of surety then we should just skip such coins in first glance. For me the choice of coin is ETH, IOTA, NEM and looking forward to waves too. The list is juts for your attention and you can choose them at your own risk. :-)

I have a sad experience since I bought some LTC when the price was less than 5$ and sold them when the price was more than 10$, I though I was good at trading But the result is just as you know.

I have held some litecoin for almost half year I think, thinking "this" time to come and end up with a big smile. Considering litecoin in your portfolio is not a bad move, but otherwise. Litecoin's ATH was more than 0.022 btc (when btc was not this much). It's not impossible to see that price again so while it's on 0.015 btc, it's a good choice to buy litecoin.
