It could be bitcoin prices up to 20k before Christmas, due to unstable bitcoin price movements, then bitcoin prices up to 20k is a realistic thing seen from the development of bitcoin lately.

Bitcoin value now was on stable price, I agree that no one who can says what happen to the future value of bitcoin. Because it's hard for us to read the fluctuation of this crypto in the digital market, since Christmas seasons is coming it means there's a possibility that remittances transaction were raising up.

In addition it is only 12days remaining before Christmas is coming so I guess it's hard for them to achieve $20,000. But still were hoping that bitcoin meets $20K before end of this year.

I don't think so that before Christmas bitcoin will reach $20,000. We do have our different desire for the price of bitcoin to increase and if that happens against to what I believe it will be great. But I don't want to expect more for today, other altcoins are pumping too. But if most of the holders on those coins starts to sell and after profiting on it will jump to bitcoin, $20,000 before Christmas or New Year is possible.

I beg to differ, the price point for btc was around 6k beginning of November, but now it's nearly 17k. Which also took a leap from 11k to 15k in less than 2 days. Therefore, 20k from 17k withing next 12 days seems very much possible and I am sure it will be pretty stable. 

Well yeah nothing is impossible with bitcoin as we all witness its power within the past few days and proves that bitcoin is the king. Reading some threads and some speculated that we'll close the year by $15k and everyone was shookt when it actually surpasses it and now we're sitting in $16k and we almost feel that our Christmas will be more merrier than ever with the smell of $20k.

After the sudden rise of bitcoin this past few weeks I don't think the price would reach $20,000 before christmas. Before next year there could be a chance. This is my speculation because there's a lot of increase that's happening with more opposite reaction now than last month.

If just a speculation without a real and valid data , i think around 25 to 30 december the price will get skyrocketed.
And then in the early new year it could get dropped more than 40%! Stay safe and put the money you can afford to lose only.
We are in a phase where everything is so uncertain but peoplecso overconfident.

If we see the trend of btc of this month by christmas it can easily cross 25k. Today price is 17500 nearly in a week 20000usd and next week 22000usd to 25000usd. This prediction can't be wrong means 90% chances that this will happen.

Actually, prices were within the normal correction and thinking that it is very calming for holders like me. Giving a mark of stability for a sure value before the year ends.

There's nothing to lose if I'll speculate that it's possible to see bitcoin before Christmas Eve or for New year. Anything can possible to happen as the whole cryptocurrency market is very healthy. ETH reaches its new ATH at $700+ and the same goes for Litecoin. If people from these altcoins who bags tons of profit will sell their coins and just buy bitcoin that will make the price to a massive increase and lead to the unexpected price that mostly are thinking.

This possibility does not seem so farfetched, taking into account that recently the price of bitcoin has already touched the $18,000 line after starting the month around $10,000. It is true that bitcoin futures do not seem so optimistic about it and even it has been observed an important resistance around $17,500 over the past few days but I do not see enough force in that psychological level, so I think it's only a matter of days to break the $20,000 mark for the first time in history.

I think if BTC reaches to $20.000, what is very possible, it will have a short duration. Probably right after Christmas or New Year the price will drop as it increased too fast. In times like this we are now, people are receiving their 'extra wage' like every end of year, so they have more money to buy gifts, or in this case, to buy Bitcoins, increasing the demand, consequently increasing the price.

But these people can cashout their profit fast to start 2018 full of money and as usual there are many bills to pay when the year starts. So, I believe there will be a drop in BTC price in 2018, at least at the beginning of the year.

You can't predict anything, but you can look at the exchanges and see the resistance lines for each path. So far, the market has stayed steady through several volatile periods. Drops are small, which indicates the market is ready to buy as soon as it reaches 5-6% correction prices. This translates to further demand than there is supply.

I've met a few people who are taking full advantage of this by buying things with BTC instead of cashing out, you are essentially bartering for massive earnings. BTC was under $10k a month ago, my prices have been adjusted to match it! But the question is, for how long? Should we be devaluing our products/services to meet fiat demands? Ask yourselves, what happens when people no longer care about fiat values and seek to simply have more BTC?

We cannot 100% sure about bitcoin will reach the 20000 USD price point before Christmas. It is not tough and also it is not easy also as the festival season people will sell their bitcoin for their Christmas and new year purchase so it is not possible to achieve who knows bitcoin can do overnight achievement also.

Right. It is not tough and it is not easy. We have seen bitcoin break so many highs and we have seen some huge corrections as well. So far, bitcoin is really doing great but we cannot say if we will keep seeing that trend in a short while or we will just keep having some sideways movement for now. I guess we just have to wait and see what happens before December ends to know if we are in for a new surprise or not.

But it is getting tough now to really get past the previous top. Anything can happen before December and we cannot really say for now, if there could be a probability of another bull run. One thing for sure though is that, bitcoin is here to stay and in the long run, we are going to be having some huge value placed on it.

Though about it but seems we cannot see the price reach for 20k$ for now since looks like it will stabilized on 16-17k$ on this month and where on the middle of december so possibly maybe by next year we can see more pump coming unto since the price prediction on bitcoins by the whales on sane forecasters are huge so definitely we can see this up when the peak comes again.

Yeah, judging from how bitcoin has moved through the past few weeks i think the rally to push us over $20k real soon. Although, i'm not quite sure if Christmas is going to be enough time for that rally to develop fully.

Exactly. I think at this point, really there is nothing that can accurately model bitcoin's growth curve. It's just exceeding expectations but sometimes when people forecast it to go up, it doens't go up that much at all. But generally in the medium-long term you'll find predicting price quite easily.

That's why i think that christmas $20k prediction may be too rushed, for security, give it a month's time or so.

Yeah, I agree, BTC might hit 20k but then drop to 15 or 10. I'm watching it right now try to get over 17.2 but I know it eventually will. The only problem is that if you bet against it, you tend to lose and then FOMO sets in and you might overbuy. I don't know why I fell for this trap and bought LTC at 350. It's a good currency but I don't think it can stay at that level. Ethereum as well. PLUS so many fricken other alts. We are all waiting to see what will survive the winter. If it hits 20k, celebrate. Take out some of your profits and celebrate. I need to stop looking at graphs...

Well, if he even reaches this limit, it will not last long.
Since any increase implies a decline!
The adjustment will do its job, until the new year, it will grow, but starting from the 28th day it should go down. Well this is my personal opinion
