There is always a risk. I recall last year when I heard of blockchain and bitcoin. It was only $400 at that time. I was planning to buy 5 to 10 btc but wasn't able to due to 3x failure trying to convert fiat. I gave up.

Then out of curiosity, almost exactly 1 year, I decided to read news about it. Lo and behold, the price was at $2,000.

That was it! No turning back for me. I did everything I can to study everything I could get my hands into. I learned a lot about the altcoins, mining/PoS, airdrops, campaigns, etc.

While I didn't even get close to target of 5 btc (Way lower than this actually), I'm glad that I entered at the $2,000 range.

Buying bitcoin now is still a good idea. Even if the price drops some, it's most likely going to go past $20.000 at some point maybe next year. it should continue to gain in value over time. So it is really never a bad time to invest because the price will theoretically keep rising. It is still a high risk investment so you should probably not put all of your money into Bitcoins.

The price is quite high right now, no one can really say when it will go up some more or it will drop. The only certain thing is that in the future it will still go up. So I think the best advice would always to keep on buying but that would mean you should have a great belief and trust in bitcoins. So far, I believe that prices will go up as high as $100,000 by the next few years, so buying it now is still a good buy if you plan to just hold it.

Of course, this is a risky contribution. Do not invest all your money. But, it's still attractive to buy bitcoin. In 2017, bitcoin increased in price by 15 times !!. It's only one year! In 2018, there will be a similar growth rate.

Yes off course it is safe...but sometimes you need to take risk to get something good...Bitcoin in 2017 increase almost 10 times more then the previous years...so in 2018, the progress will be more than 2017..so finger crossed & invest now

looks like it will just move in the 16,400-17,000 range this week and then surge past 17,000 next week. it has been in that conservative range since yesterday, but well, what do I know? It's just Tuesday and it can surge past 17,000 tomorrow .... so it's still okay to buy now

As always if you are about to invest to bitcoin risk cannot be removed, there is always a risk and no matter how low or high the value is you cannot be sure of profit and that is a common thing regarding cryptocurrencies. If you want a safe investment go to a bank and there you can secure your money without worrying but bitcoin has a lot of features that bank can't have so considering that price bitcoin is never the best choice nor the worst.

Bitcoin started off with just $1 and people then considered too costly to buy. It reached $100 and then people thought that the price might explode at any time. BTC reached $1000 and people called it a bubble that would explode any moment and crash down. It has now crossed $10,000 and people are still asking whether it is safe to buy BTC or not. People you should just do it once and for all and see whether your luck favors you or not.
Bitcoin has still a long journey to go and many investors have just started buying BTC now. There will thousands of people later demanding for BTC later and millions asking whether it is safe to buy BTC or not. Life doesn't give opportunities again and again. I had myself missed the boat 3 years back when BTC was just $250 but am happy to get along now since I know the journey is long and yet to be reached.

If you are investing in bitcoins for a short term benefit,then just stay away from it as its price could even fall now suddenly.Mostly,bitcoin investment is made in a long term basis unlike altcoins.So,if you want to have a long term investment,then you could buy bitcoins as its price has earlier fell down many times and regained new price quickly higher than its previous price.

Bitcoin investments are always risky if you want to make huge profit in short time then you need to take such risks.Yeah,some financial experts predicts that bitcoin is a bubble and it will burst soon but I think it is just the beginning of bitcoin era so we can expect more price in the coming years.But no one knows the exact answer.
If you are going to invest on bitcoin or crypto invest that amount which you can afford to lose and be aware of bitcoin hackers,your wallet can be hacked so please store your bitcoin in paper wallet or in hardware wallet.

Now a days investment in bitcoin is safe or not, time will decide that. But in my view fluctuations in price of bitcoin going from long time, and at all time drop was small. Also growth shown was huge. But definitely price will increse, so investment in Bitcoin will gives better returns.

This question was asked even when the rates of each bitcoin was $10, $100, $1000, $10000 and now it is being asked when the rates of bitcoin are at $17,000. The answer is always the same that it might be very risky at this very high rates but just see it yourself. Each time the question was asked and the rates were high enough again and it made those people a good investor who trusted it in that low period.

Bitcoin is a very liquid investment and you will find it the best one again and again once it reaches the ATH. Who knows next year it could be more than 50K and you still will be saying that is it worth investing or not?

Investing in Bitcoin is always a difficult question , some the price is never stable and many people don't like to take risk.
But seeing the performance of Bitcoin in the past two months this doubt had been cleared for many. The price will still increase no matter what but there is always a slight risk , not like it's price will suddenly fall to zero.
The person who invests is responsible for his profits or loss .

Around 4-5 years back when bitcon's price was around $266, I was thinking of buying Bitcoin while many friends warn me not to invest still i did buy BTC and after few days price falls down to $76 i was shuttered in fear of losing more i sold out my BTC and after 6 hours price recovered to $160 and after that price keeps on increasing....
I really regret that movement , From that day i didn't get enough courage to invest again in Bitcoin

it is never "safe" to make any kind of investment in anything even the old trusted and with low volatility investments. something like gold is not even safe. now you want to know if it is safe to invest in one of the most volatile assets out there?

all we can tell you is that bitcoin has a lot of potential to rise. it is being adopted every day and it even reached mainstream adoption this year. this is all bringing in a lot of fresh money and that means rising price.
but that doesn't mean the risk is zero. it is still there, you may lose money.
all you can do is to invest what you can afford to lose.

It is not a bad time to invest now but it ain't the best either so if you want to invest it is up to you whether to do it or not since it ain't that dangerous to invest now but it ain't that safe either. Just invest what you can afford to lose so that in the end you wont regret what you did in the log run. Either way if youre in for a long term investment then don't mind the price now you will profit in the future either way. Price rise now might be a bubble but bitcoin itself isn't.
