I think it is a good thing as it challenges the ETH network.

Every great system needs to be stress tested to see how far it can go, and they are out of the woods with it. It just shows that they can run with the big boys!

Yes, these crypto kittens created a very strong load on the ethereum network. But this can be considered a real test of the ethereum network. Now clearly visible all the flaws, which need to be eliminated.  Smiley

Perhaps if there were no cryptokitties that created a very heavy load on the ethereum network, then there would not have been any major changes that Vitalik Buterin announced. So cryptokitties gave impetus to the development of the crypto currency.
