as far as I know how fast spread the news is social media because it is very influential on the development of bitcoin prices, the more people dabble there and invest I am sure more and more people who know will bitcoin ..

In my opinion they helped btc to reach 20k but they also made it drop, because I think that lots of people have bought btc, and than after few days/weeks they have sold because they were in profit, and that wasn't good
