Marketcap gives you information about the value of the coin.
If there are 10,000 of coin A at $10 each... that is a marketcap of $100,000
Similarly if there 1,000 of coin B at $100 each... same marketcap $100,000.
Essentially the price of an individual coin, 1 bitcoin, 1 Eth etc is irrelevant unless you take into account how many coins there are as well.
If a coin costs $10 you don't know how much room it has to grow... but by looking at marketcap, you do.
And then circulating vs max supply... if there is a limit of 10 million coins but only 2 million are in circulation, then that means there are potentially an extra 8 million to come onto the market and dilute the price.
Yes. Also look at the team/founders/advisors. Does the project create demand? Is there a already working platform?
I would look into polymath. They are creating a platform for companies to launch their own securities token projects. Imo securities this will be big in the upcoming years since it's an untouched market.
