Hey everyone! I just got started in all of this within the last few weeks and am looking for any place you cold suggest to help me understand all of this in order to make better judgements for myself.

I have been reading the forums for a bit now and would like to know if theres anywhere you suggest to get a alt coins for dummies crash course hahaha. I got started in ethereum a few weeks ago when it was inn the 400s and put 200 buck on litecoin when it shot up so losing a little bit there but I'm willing to wait it out.

I see posts stating "Look at circulating coin supply and market cap too." Just curious as to what exactly I'm looking for when looking at this stuff.

Thanks for any help!

You can check out this website, they have a really nice beginners guide- https://cryptopotato.com/bitcoin-for-beginners/

but anyway, just type in what you want in google, the problem is not where to find info but how to choose from all the supply (=

Marketcap gives you information about the value of the coin.
If there are 10,000 of coin A at $10 each... that is a marketcap of $100,000
Similarly if there 1,000 of coin B at $100 each... same marketcap $100,000.
Essentially the price of an individual coin, 1 bitcoin, 1 Eth etc is irrelevant unless you take into account how many coins there are as well.
If a coin costs $10 you don't know how much room it has to grow... but by looking at marketcap, you do.

And then circulating vs max supply... if there is a limit of 10 million coins but only 2 million are in circulation, then that means there are potentially an extra 8 million to come onto the market and dilute the price.

Most important info:

Dont put all your money into 1 coin. Spread it, like you do with stocks.

on your place I wouldn't begin to break all sum only in one coin, it is better to divide the sum into several pieces and to buy several altcoin, chances to earn more at you will appear.

I would buy some BTC, ETH and also 3rd generation of cryptos like ADA and IOTA.

There are also smaler coins where you can start without money and by participating in bounty programs you can actually earn a lot. I earned 675 VIBs just from yesterday, that is the Viberate token. And I spent about 20 minutes doing this. In 2 weeks I got about 4k VIB. That is about 350 euros right now.

Check it out: https://www.viberate.com/referrals/2ed6b8b9_9588dc25_2edd6fe5

Have you every played with stocks? You can make money just by investing in Bitcoin or trading your Bitcoin for another coin with the hopes of making a lot of money.

It's actually a fairly large space. What exactly are you interested in learning? Are you interested in trading altcoins, developing altcoins, transacting with altcoins, staking altcoins, or what? The altcoin markets are a complex and diverse subject which is quickly developing. If I were you, I would start with understanding bitcoin and then expanding your education to include the alternative blockchains.

Yes. Also look at the team/founders/advisors. Does the project create demand? Is there a already working platform?

I would look into polymath. They are creating a platform for companies to launch their own securities token projects. Imo securities this will be big in the upcoming years since it's an untouched market. https://polymath.network/
