[1] is it actually a different hash/coin, and less coins,
[2] its going to force investment from mid to large BTC/LTC holders
[3] there was ZERO premine so much so Sunnt King has been running around buying up coins just to get a stash*

Why?

Because it is fresh and it is making ripples in the media.  People think that LTC is the only alt coin worth anything and think that nothing can come close to it.  May I remind you that it is not the most valuable altcoin, and others such as NVC can easily climb in value to > LTC.  Given the trend since launch, the excitement of something fresh, the rising difficulty, etc, it's a fair assessment that the price of XPM will increase over the next month.  Whether it will get to $5 or higher I don't know, but I do think that 0.03+ is well within the realms of possibility. I'll be holding my modest wallet for now.

also in early dev stage, price held back by uncertainty

The block reward is 999/(diff^2), so yes, if diff goes down, the block reward goes up.  I don't see diff going down any time soon though.

It is hard to predict what the arrival of pool mining and/or GPU mining -- both of which seem inevitable -- would eventually do to primecoin.  But both seem like they might make primecoin a little less unique and more of "just another coin".

The target amount of coins produced a day should be 10 thousand, which is only 300k per month.

When the difficulty drops to 2 coins a block the coins target per month will be much smaller than that still... 60k a month or something.

If demand is moderate it's going to hit high prices.
