Im opposite going to say it will dip because the futures contracts show bearish sentiment I think and I think the market will react to that in the way they want. I also think quickly thereafter we will rebound and make ATH for bitcoin but that will happen in January imo not late December.

Thinking the futures market, which will attract a more mature/accredited investor, will driving the price to its conclusion. when we get there, that same market is going to turn tres bearish in sentiment, and tamp the price back down so all the bank guys that ignored us the first time, can now buy coins under what they know is "less than peak".

Either we are going to get a 20k BTC Xmas gift, or we will have a 'happy new year', so to speak. but q2-q4 2018 isnt going to be rosy like this, I feel. Major retraction after we actually visiting this price range, and stay there.

And God help us if they dont pass that tax reform. Corporate America's brain will explode, and much chaos will ensue in all markets, globally.

There is no any theory behind bitcoin. It is clearly seen that, bitcoin reaches all over the world due to its decentralisation, and people taking interest in it due to its user friendly nature. And hence value of it in market going high and high. Also legalization in most of the countries is the another reason behid its price gain.
As price grows investor's took back there investment from bitcoin, that may be reason for down.

Bitcoin won't dip but yes, the possibilities to short Bitcoins will be opened at an extremely wide range once futures start to trade at a bigger volume. I saw somewhere that it costs much to start "selling/shorting" Bitcoins to make money on it and it's real, they might help Bitcoin to stabilize at some point but shorting still looks really expensive. A statement below will explain why I am saying this:

"All clients taking short positions will be required to maintain a margin of $40,000 per contract in their trading accounts for each short sale. Since each CBOE contract is equivalent to 1 BTC, that margin requirement works out to more than 200 percent of the contract value. Clients taking long positions, for reference, must maintain a margin of $9,000 per contract, a rate of approximately 50 percent."

200% of the contract value is almost impossible for an average trader and even those big whales would think at least twice before taking a short position.

Bitcoin futures are going to be introduced on other trading platforms and this will once again bump the price in those areas.

The remaining trading platforms do not have the same volume of future trading as the two that are offering this service now,

but their combined volume might push the price to $20 000.  ..... I cannot wait for Bitcoin ETFs to be introduced. A much

It is not very hard to know just simple look at bitcoin price if bitcoin price will be high it will be time to wait and if bitcoin price will be low then it is good to buy bitcoin. People are now talking about bitcoin and they are saying that they are sure about price of bitcoin that it will increase and it will not stop going high. Now bitcoin is having high potential and it will not lose the high place in super markets.

I always use simple theory. Bitcoin enthusiasm will be as high as Bitcoin prices and more. If the number of enthusiasts decreases, the price will decrease. Even then, many people expect Bitcoin prices to increase in the future. Because they believe that bitcoin with cryptoconference will enter the world and the number of interested ones will increase.
