I made this transaction some days ago: https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/tx/e51fd993e4d9a1837a47bc3d20b22639877c4a3046d9253527b9d187c0fbad76

I tried to pay the minimun fee as possible. Transaction had a large amount of inputs so the fee was extremely high. However It is still not confirmed.

I don't care if transaction arrives delayed, however I want transaction to succeed. Should I still wait? Make a new transaction with another client and more fees? (I used all funds so I cant actually add more fees to this transaction)

What would you do in my situation? My fee was 0.7 mbtc and I don't want to pay a lot more obviously.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I get this ALERT on my web wallet:
Quote
INCREASED NETWORK TRAFFIC

The Bitcoin and Ethereum networks are currently experiencing record high traffic, resulting in higher miners fees and longer confirmation times for transactions.

it normally all network has longer confirmation times for transactions.

I send 100$ with 11$ fee at 12/12 and confirmed today only.

believe me will arrive and confirmed before 12/20.

The effective fee you pay is based on satoshis per byte, which you can see easily if you use blockchain explorer (or just divide your fee per kb on blocktrail by 1,000): https://blockchain.info/tx/e51fd993e4d9a1837a47bc3d20b22639877c4a3046d9253527b9d187c0fbad76

It is a large transaction, and effective fee is just over 11sats/byte, which, according to estimator https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/ can take up to 21 hours to confirm. Thanks to >155k transactions in mempool and growing, expect this to take a lot longer, at least three days or more, since mempool is not easing off.

So yeah, eventually, it'll confirm. Since you don't mind waiting, just ensure the transaction is still broadcasted. Once the txs get to an "acceptable level", say around 20k, you'll get confirmation in 24 hours or so.

You can alternatively try RBF or CPFP transactions, more info here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1802212.0

The good news, since it's above 10 sats/byte, you can try submitting it for acceleration here: https://pool.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

If I were you, since it's not urgent, I'd wait a week and see the situation. No sense fussing over something that's not urgent, right?
