Apologize if this issue was already addressed but I currently use coinbase to buy, sell, etc bitcoin. I havent used the site in a bit. I bought BC today, tried to send and there was a ridiculous fee. I was wondering if anyone knew another source for BC with low fees.

The fees have increased on average recently, I think due to increased interest in bitcoin. There are a lot of transactions, and not enough processing power to go around, so the transaction fees are higher.

Unfortunetely transferring bitcoin costs too much nowadays. Bitcoin will go up much more and fees will be higher. I suggest you to transfer by ethereum or litecoin. But it is a good idea when you buy coins with bitcoin. So until 2020 maybe we will pay $100 to transfer bitcoin.

First the shortform for Bitcoin is BTC not "BC".

Second your Question:
The fee is temporarily realy hight, maybe this chart can you symbolize the momentary "fee-crise".
So you will not find any other changer system with an lower fee.
Maybe with Blockchain.info you can set your own fee, but be attended to low fees for an Transaction slow it up or cancel it.
So it is easier to use the fees, which are set by the changer.

It's Sad how bitcoin is slowly going out of its purpose . The point of bitcoin was less fees and less time transaction . Now it is proving otherwise.

Unfortunately, it is almost the same with every platform especially the top exchanges. High fees ensure that your tx will be confirmed at the fastest possible time. You can try binance. I think the withdrawal fee for it is 0.0005. That is the lowest I think.

This has nothing to do with processing power.
Bitcoin mining is not anything like digging holes.

And he is not asking about a tx fee. He is asking about the withdraw fee that is charged by the exchanger.

He is buying bitcoins!!!!
Did you even read the post? Hoe can he get bitcoins in his wallet while using litecoin?

Binance is supporting fiat?
I thought they don't have USD/BTC pairs??

No, he bought bitcoins and tried to send some, got slapped with the normal 20$ fee. You need to re-read his post.

You will get a headache if you keep looking at the replies.

Most times i only use to read the first two posts, and if the question has already been solved, i left the thread because it would be full of newbies posting the same crap once and once again.

He is buying bitcoins!!!!

Maybe if someone asks about the fees, someone will reply you saying "yes, bitcoin is a nice crypto, buy"

It is full of those people, just click on the ignore button.

Coinbase is looking at the rest of the blockchain and making a good estimate as to what the fee would be so that you have your own transactions moving quickly and so that they're prioritized beyond the other transactions in the chain. Coinbase isn't doing anything wrong per say, beyond just trying to maintain parity with the network. If you use blockchain you can completely customize your fee and you don't have to do what they recommend, but that comes with its own disadvantages and it might be a mistake to do something like that since it could delay your transaction from being confirmed considerably.

fee because miners want to earn money and network is busy you must pay high fee to comforting your transaction.

this only happen if network was busy or have uncontrolled demand.

just wait

It is nice to see that you could fix it up, anyway, i want to suggest you to move all your funds to electrum.

I have some money in there, and everytime that i want to send money to another wallet or just to send a payment, i setup a fee of aprox $3 or $4 and it goes through in just a few minutes, 10 or a little bit more.

It is a huge amount of money too, but compared to the actual fees of about $15 or $20 is nothing.

And do not use coinbase, their fees are very crazy, i would not suggest it to anyone.

as of now not only coinbase wallet cost much on fees. have you ever tried polo? you can use that site only 10k sats fixed fees.
we cant do anything about the fees because of huge transaction on blockchain to be able to faster our transaction we must sacrifice huge fees thats the problem.

It's definitely not because of Coinbase. My advise is to hold off from transfering small amounts and do so only when a significant value is reached since fees are the same regardless.

Coinbase have fixed fee for sending bitcoin transaction if the number of pending transactions increased on the blockchain network then they will increase the fee to reward the miners to make their transaction faster. But some other wallets have manual fee setting selection so you can reduce the fee bjt it needs more time to get confirmed.
But this problem will be resolved soon when the traffic in blockchain get clears so you have to wait for some days for sending in lower fee.

It's shit. Unusable junk. If you need to transfer and use the coin then u'r shit outta luck. All  you can do is watch the $$$ value rise and giggle like a little school girl thinking how rich you will be if you don't touch it for another 3 years. Let's just all not touch it, miners don't seem to touch it anymore, it's like all of them left.

It's clearly seeable, 120k uncconf for days, never go up never go down, where are the miners? Anyone working the blockchain? Patethic garbage waste of a payment system. I hate it so fkn much can't get any work done for weeks because of this bullshit. I can't fucking wait untill they remove this waste of a shitcurrency from shiops so i am not forced to send this slow unbeareable piece of shit that never fkn conmfirms unless u pay the greedy miner fuck like 100$ for a transaction.

I will be the happiest man in the world when i see BCH/ETH/LTC added to my shops so i can stop using this garbage that is bitcoin and spare my head of more white hairs.
