Who is currently the main dev? Also are any new featured being implemented down the line? Looking to invest for a while but trying to see if its worthwhile now as the previous dev who tried to revive failed.

So far everything sounds good and current revival seems like its in good hands. I am concerned slightly why the previous dev gave up as he was also trying to revive. Also are there any noteworthy features being implemented?

As for exchange, maybe also add to Cryptopia and then move on to the larger exchanges.

Hi ninjacoins
Thanks for the kind words!

The previous dev gave up and started working on another coin, which so far seems like the wrong choice

We're currently setting up a website where you can purchase Gadgets with the SuperCoin logo on it.
The profits will be used to hire a developer to make changes and improvements.

I was working on the linux wallet but due to the holidays and a couple of other reasons I didn't have much time to spend on it the last couple of weeks.
But a fresh year brings a new start, so I plan to dive back into it.
This is also something we could use a developer for.

Or to address the memory usage of the wallet for example.

As for the exchanges, yes cryptopia seems like a good idea!
Perhaps also bitgrail.

Also something we're working on.

We're scheduling a meeting with a couple of us who are actively working on SuperCoin somewhere in the next couple of weeks.

I'll post the report of it here in this thread afterwards

We don't have one dev.
I'm currently taking the lead but it's really a team effort.
One person is in charge of the website.
Another handles twitter
The same with slack and discord and telegram
I handle the emails and try to get everyone who want be involved in the right position to do so
And we have a couple of faithful bitcointalk members who are always willing to reply and answer their fellow SuperCoiners/SuperCoinians (we haven't decided on the names yet so feel free to comment Smiley )

Hi elchavotravieso

I think they were just performing maintenance.
It showed a message about upgrades to their serverfarm.

It's working properly now :-)

Hi lengochaiau

I resynced my wallet yesterday evening from scratch using the snapshot. It was done just a couple of hours later.
Make sure your .conf file includes an up to date list of addnodes.
You can find an extensive list in the first post of the thread

You can try by adding these:

thirstygerry,

Good to see the meeting was productive!

eMail forwarding should now be in place. If you can check for the test eMail, then I'll have the website updated accordingly.

Drop me an eMail about what you had in mind for the other two tasks on the list and I'll see what I can do.

Hi elchavotravieso

We talked about redesigning the wallet, perhaps a new logo but that's still a long-term item Smiley

I must say, the meeting and all of the conversations before and after have been great.
bittybit11, bstappleton, coinlover and dimitar really are great people.
I'm proud to be part of this 'brotherhood'! Smiley

Thanks for your enthusiasm! That's the kind of community SuperCoin stands for! Cheesy

I downloaded the snapshot, but no connections. It's been 24 hours and no connections. Can someone provide a brief step by step on how to add the nodes to my .config file? Currently there is a Supercoin.config file. How do I use Notepad to add the nodes and then save it to my Super Coin folder? I only need the steps on adding the nodes in Notepad, saving it to a .config file and then replacing the current SuperCoin.config folder with my new nodes.

Thanks!

Actually it should be "supercoin.conf" not "supercoin.config"
For making new conf file:
1.Go to the supercoin folder from Appdata>Roming
2.Right click inside the folder and hit New > Text Document
3.Open that text file and copy/paste nodes in this format:

addnode=116.108.9.155
addnode=117.225.211.23
addnode=129.21.131.74
addnode=14.177.179.229
addnode=143.233.216.132
addnode=144.76.71.141
addnode=154.57.6.181
addnode=171.233.105.133

4.After that click File > Save As
5.Once the Save As window pops up, type “supercoin.conf” as the file name
6.In save as type choose “All types (*.*)”
7.Click save and you're done.

Thanks for the steps! Much appreciated!!! I just made the changes in literally less than 1 minute. The wallet just launched and I already have 2 active connections. I wish that I had asked sooner.
