[HELP] Lost 7 btc to Blockcypher bug they ignore me. I ask a refund. Please help

I was using blockcypher api for multiple things, it was working ok until one day. for 1 hour their api was bugged and flagged as safe all transactions, even doublespends. my code was configured to wait 1 confirmation except for small purchases, was used in services like shapeshift and digital items shops.

it was not possible to steal without bugs in blockcypher code. everything was tested and except this bug was fine.

during that 1 hour an attacker stole from my services 7 btc worth of items. as soon as i noticed that the bugs were gone, fixed. blockcypher returned perfectly fine after my first complain to them. .

those btc transactions are no more in the bitcoin network the only proof i have are emails between me / blockcypher support and tokens uses for their api service.

i demand a refund from blockcypher because this was possible only because of their bugs. i suspect one of their people carried out this, as there are too many perfect timings.

blockcypher bug appears, attacker steals from me using that bug, blockchyper bug is gone 1 hour later, they deny everything.

during normal operations this would have been the outcome: attacker tries doublespend, blockcypher api warns of that, service doesnt accept payment

it looks like the attacker used his internal knowledge to find out which services were using my tokens, reverse engieneered the rate limits needed to go undetected and carried out the attack. as soon as they saw my support email the attack stopped and the bug was gone, blockcypher worked again.

I was stupid to trust them yes, please dont make me feel even worse for this, damage is done. I ended up in this situation cause i choosed to burn my savings to keep paying those 30 workers during xmas, and the stolen digital items, i never gambled. i didnt want to ruin 30 lifes this was the less damaging way.

blockcypher caused 7 btc of losses, they ignore my support and refund requests and by the timings of the attack it looks like one of their workers carried it out.

why im posting this: i have about 30 people working for me, didnt wanted to ruin their xmas so i kept this loss hidden and burned through all my personal money to pay them and keep thing alive until 2018. i took a loan from very bad people and have no way to pay it back, they made it clear i will get killed on 1st jan 2018 if i dont pay them back almost 180k $.

im extremely scared of what they would do to me and cant expose this issue to wife or other workers as it would ruin xmas for 30 families, wifes kids and parents. I cant do this to them. Even if i go to the police tomorrow this mess wont be fixed and ill still get killed, no lawsuit is that fast and im sure it would take ages for something like this go resolve, i cant even pay for that. fixing this the right way is refunding me, i wont press charges of course.

What can i do to save my life and get 7 btc back? Please Community help. Im not asking money from you I just want this to be fixed and Blockcypher to refund me. Of course if a miracle happens and someone else helps ok but Blockchyper must pay back, is the right thing. Dont hate on me please im in a very bad situation try to imagine being in my shoes right now.

i dont want to get kidnapped and killed by criminals who i own money so id just hang myself before 01/01/2018 but im hoping with all myself to fix this somehow.

Dude, you know that on their site they have the faces of the team members, if you hire a lawyer this issue can be solved. If true, that's a horrible predicament to be in. Why would you take loans from "very bad people" knowing perhaps that this might or will cause your family severe hardship and maybe even endanger them in other ways? So you didn't want to ruin your staff's Christmas and instead placed yourself and your family in such a precarious predicament.

$180k is an enormous sum. My heart sank when I saw this amount on your post. Why use an obscure service when you have the option of storing those coins in a safer and much more secure platform? Most losses posted by scam victims here were caused by sheer negligence and irresponsibility. There are always options and when you are talking about large sums of money, why is so difficult to make an educated and conscious choice?

Have you contacted blockcypher and explained your situation? You should at least attempt to do this until they respond and explain their position and how they intend to resolve it.

$180k is a big sum, yes, but no amount of money can surpass the value of life.

i know taking loans was the worst idea ever you are all right, im an idiot.
this was done to keep this 7 btc loss hidden and let all my coworkers have a nice xmas yes.
i couldnt bring myself to ruin 30 families xmas with this news i was thinking by now to have the 7 btc back.
. i burned all my savings too and now im fucked for good.
i had to replay all digital items and crypto stolen using doublespends, for a total of 7 btc.
on top of that i had to fake being able to pay paychecks so i took that loans.

all this caused by blockcypher bugs. my life was perfect before this.
i never did anything myself to lose this 7 btc, to be clear.

i just want my 7 btc back from them, is the right thing.

I contacted blockypher from day 1, they ignored me. one of their workers contacted me
on reddit DEMANDING 0.5 BTC UPFRONT, to 'get my fucking btc back' as he said.
this sounds even worse if that guy truly works from them.
i can show all emails between me/blockcypher about this issue.

the moderators on reddit /r/btc and /r/bitcoin BANNED ME for asking for help.
please people what can i do, could you help me shomehow?

even getting this exposed or reddit without getting banned would be good help.

Hi, thats a lot of money. Its indeed sad that all these attacks are being carried out. People are losing coins from within their wallets even after 2 factor authentication. The exchanges or wallets are hacked and then the coins from within personal wallets are emptied. Does anyone have any solution to this?

this was 100% caused by BUG in blockcypher, and the attacker.

this is evil people it needs to be purged out of the community.

Have you tried contacting a law-firm near you to see what they have to say about this? Attorneys generally charge you about $100 to $250 for the first hour of consultation where you can produce all the proof you have. They should be able to provide you legal opinion on whether you have legal grounds or not. You can then decide the further course of action of either a lawsuit or taking to social media to address your issues.
