Yes, I was present when the actual trad took place, on IRC (and this forum) but the guy payed th pizza for the "customer". Anyway it was the first food trade and among the first trades in the world.

I'm speaking of "making" food.

And OFFTOPIC: how did you found that website? I can't find many of them in the TRADE list.

My wife and I baked at an artisan french bakery to get ourselves through college. She did the bread, I made pastries and cooked a mean breakfast. If any of you are ever in Portland, I can cook you a damn fine for a reasonable BTC price!

Damn near anything is on the menu; but I make hollandaise by hand, biscuits and gravy to die for, Coq au Vin, etc. etc. etc.

I doubt the offer will ever be taken up, but there ya go.

wow. this gets traction.

On the cooking / food offers, perhaps one could develop a map where each of us can enter the location and the food offers..

Vinnie, perhaps you have guests in Poland earlier than you think..

A map+menu sounds like a fine idea! We also have an organic garden!

Are you offering to rent out any of your organic gardening space?  That would make a perfect first listing for Portland on the Where's Bitcoin map! http://www.bitcoinmap.com

pizza4btc is under construction. If anyone feels like moving it along come to #pizza4btc on irc. You can add your local pizza establishment and people will be able to order pizza for you .

Its the worlds first geopizzas lol.

Renting space sounds far better, to me. I'll rent it out cheap, too, because we're not using all of our space.

I think I'll have to go with this approach instead of cooking/baking people food. I already have a full time job!

Yup, I started that.  Thanks!

The map is freeform..., so a marker can be added with whatever content (and link) you wish to add.   The marker can be added using the edit mode: http://www.umapper.com/maps/edit/id/84618/
or by just entering data using the form located below the map: http://www.bitcoinmap.com
