Bitcoin experienced a lot of surge in it's price in 2017 but we are noticing a drop in the end of 2017.But this does not means that I will stop investing in Bitcoin. I will take this drop as an opportunity to invest more in it because I am conversant by the potential of Bitcoin. I know that if their is some drop in the price than the price will recover soon and will rise even more.This is my personal choice but many people often prefer to invest in both Bitcoin and altcoins to earn more profits. This is so because tremendous growth has also been seen in altcoin's such as etherum and litecoin. So it is just the matter of choice.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Yeah,different people will have different choices.I think altcoin investments will give more profits in the year 2018 because the price of many altcoins are bumping and it looks the year 2018 will be the year of altcoins. |

Exactly. I think investing in different types of coins is actually a smart move since you're expanding your horizons towards assurance. By investing in both Bitcoins and Altcoin, there are low chances of going home with nothing because somehow both coins will gain profit. Bitcoin alone can be promising but its volatility can be quite a deal breaker at times which is why trying out on other coins won't be a burden because you will somehow have a fall back. I'm not saying that other coins are not worthy, but they will definitely be there to assure that you will have profit no matter what. |

Both from my point of view. Mostly i keep in bitcoin and ethereum and looking for any opportunity to try to get any other coin was is ICO or something that have good attention on some exchange. Keeping them is good as we can always expect to see better price tomorrow but sometimes is good to invest and to take good opportunity for additional income.

I think bitcoin had it year which is 2017 - the best year ever for bitcoin and 2018 is going to be the year of altcoins such as Ripple, Bitcoin Cash, Dash, IOTA, Cardano, Monero, Zcash, and Bitconnect. |

I'd still pour my bet for Bitcoin. Bitcoin is expected to be more expensive next year which will give us profit and will make it kore profitable. Hardforks are rumoured which might positively affect Bitcoin in all aspects so it clearly says that Bitcoin would still be the best crypto investment nextyear and will remain better compared to altcoins. |

Investing in crypto is always a matter of concern so you have to look after various factors like return,profits so you have to choose wisely.You can divide up your portfolio in ratio of 60:40 which means investing greater one in bitcoin and rest in altcoins as both are profitable option.This can help to yeild returns in short as well as long term because altcoins can be used in short time period and btc for longer period.Large in btc because prices are really going to rise rapidly in future so go with both the option rest is your choice. |

To be honest, both options are good, I tried myself and there and there and I liked it but still bitcoin was closer than altcoin

For me, if you have enough money to spare I say that it would be good to invest on both bitcoin because in bitcoin we believe that after the holiday seasons pass by bitcoin price will be able to rise again. As for other alternative coins there are others showing potential especially during the turn-around of bitcoin.

But this time the bitcoin dominance gets decrease a lot. i remember about some weeks ago bitcoin still hold around 64% market dominance in the crypto and in this time bitcoin hold only around 38% from the total market shares in crypto. that means bitcoin lost a lot caused by altcoin. altcoin seems become a new way to invest in crypto rather than buy bitcoin with very high fees. |

I agree, much better if doing both to invest in bitcoin at the same time in altcoin, because they have potential to increase their value and we gain more profit from it, ( but it's depend on your purpose. ) Anyways, bitcoin was active when it comes to price or value, so when the value of bitcoin drop down, altcoin will follow, so much better to do both, that's my opinion. |

Obviously it's altcoins that'll give you more return. Bitcoin is just a currency that you use as your medium to trade with various altcoins. Trading altcoins has its own limitations so beware of it. To add to your list, I'd suggest you, XLM, XEM, POWR, XVG. These coins have been pumped quite frequently so there's a good for it to get pumped again. |

with high fee of bitcoin i will choose altcoin. bitcoin will be my long time holding and alt will be for daily deals |
