Last one week all alt coins have gone so high. Do any body expect a correction for coin values to sustain. I missed the opportunity on some of them thinking it was too high and more and more we wait looks like we could not afford.

It is indeed tricky subject. Personally I do believe that correction is coming as recent rise of cryptomarket is no doubt without precedent. Just like you have noticed almost all the coins went up, which creates this "strange" situation when basically everybody wins.

However, I also believe that we need to wait a little bit more for correction as currently a lot of people are still expecting it to happen (just like you). Corrections come when people are not expecting them. That is the beauty of it Smiley

In this crypto world there is NO high and NO low for buying and selling... I think you just have to buy when you feel that is a good moment and sell when you want to monetize.. and just don't regret...

Correction is needed in both bitcoin and altcoins as we haven't seen any significant correction for really long time and price is increasing in unbelievable rates. 3x or even 10x jump on price within 1 week is quite surprising and I don't think such surge can be the stable one.

If you want to buy some alts or bitcoin, I suggest you to wait for next few weeks for correction (big one). Wink

Correction is needed in bitcoin for sure but I don't think correction is needed for all altcoins. Some altcoins were umdervalued and now they rising.

There was a precedent for altcoin rises, in spring this year, when Bitcoin was first making its moves up the charts. Almost every alt followed suit. Even Dogecoin reached above 130 sats, 4 times higher than today's 30+sats. That was when everyone thought alts would always go up together with Bitcoin, but then as the following months showed, Bitcoin continued to go up and left behind almost every alt, which only recently is trying to play catch up again.

So, not everyone wins anymore. Bitcoin people who diversified into alts are still losing, at the moment.

Undervalued based on what criteria? If you think they are undervalued compared to Bitcoin, then a Bitcoin correction will bring altcoin correction as well.

I think as well there must be a correction but It's hard to predict when and how big. I've been waiting as well one to buy again but with Bitcoin feels like is never gonna happen. Frustrating  Undecided but patient is the key

Some are getting a correction, some aren't. The ones without a use are gonna drop. The ones that are actually useful will probably sustain their price or even grow.

Hyped coins like Bitcoin will probably correct at least a couple percents downwards, whilst coins like Ethereum will probably stay stable at their current price. Litecoin is probably gonna rise more.

Sadly, that's purely a prediction and the cryptocurrency market isn't very predictable. Therefore, I advise you to do your own research before investing significant amounts of money.

In this crypto world there is NO high and NO low for buying and selling... I think you just have to buy when you feel that is a good moment and sell when you want to monetize.. and just don't regret...

THIS so much THIS, people keep saying things like "BTC is too high it will fall" no, no it might not the fact is supply of BTC is drying up and demand is growing because of how high its value is and the fact its getting endless publicity. So we don't know what "too high is".

Basically look at altcoin but dont just look at the letters and the amount, look at the platform/coin itself and determine for yourself if you think its under or over valued. You'll guess right sometimes and others you want.

I have a friend with some random coin that starts with a V he bought it for 10$ because it sounded solid, he logged in this weekend and saw he had almost 400$ in his wallet for some reason, turned out the altcoin was up over 1000% from when he had last checked it. Meanwhile i have like 10 altcoins that refuse to move lol

Altcoins are simply catching up to the recent price hike in bitcoin prices. It is an upwards correction to match up with market trends. Best time to buy is now before they shoot up to the moon! Pick your coins wisely though, NEO is doing very well right now and has room for more growth.

Been waiting for a correction the last few days. When it comes the alt coins will probably correct harder then bitcoin.

In the cryptocurrency world, Bitcoin is considered as the reserve currency, that is why all other cryptos are influenced by changes on Bitcoin price.
A cryptocurrency price is mainly determined by its utility, and Bitcoin utility is payment, but with fees increasing significantly, using bitcoin for payments is becoming
useless which will cause the price to go down. That is why I believe a correction will happen soon.

There were many news on the important sources about crypto and maybe that atracted a lot of people with money. Also there were a lot of good ICO`s that attracted money (Electroneum brought 40 mil to the market) with theyre marketing. Many people made money and told others. I know that on the last 3 months i brought at least 4 people to this world.
I remember that after the rise from May there was this discussion about bull run and everyone said that it will be a correction but btc and eth remained at aprox the same value that it gained on that period.
We should take into considerration that we still are at the start of the road and 99% of the internet users dont know about cryptocurrency. The market is growing and it will still grow. This should not surprise anyone
The best proof to this is on coinmarket cap:
Total Market Capitalization Ian 2017   -  17 700 000 000 USD
Total Market Capitalization Dec 2017  - 599 000 000 000 USD

There is too much momentum right now and going into the new year.

The internet bubble was $7 trillion at it's peak, a lot more if adjusted for inflation.

We still have a long way up to go and this is global.

Yes, I think there will definitely be a correction at some point, but when will this be? Undoubtedly there has been a lot of new money flooding into crypto recently with the futures market listing and all the associated publicity. I have had friends who weren't interested in crypto before now suddenly wanting to get involved. So I think this recent rise is because of a lot of new people coming in... we saw the increase in bitcoin first as newcomers came into the gateway coin, then they discovered alts and now the money is going there too. How high will it rise before it corrects? And how much of a correction will it be? No-one knows.

Not just the coins that have risen but ERC-20 tokens have done well. I received all mine in last two months and they are worth over $300.

Some altcoins showed good growth, but if you look at the price of Bitcoins (at the time of purchase in the past), it appears that this is not a profit or even equivalent price of Bitcoin, but much lower. If you count in dollars, then the profit is visible. If you look at the potential profits from bitcoin, but are wasting your time on buying altcoins, then this is a loss.
