Best way (easy on the wallet) to build public awareness about Bitcoin?

Hello all, I love bitcoin, but it seems that everyone I talk to has never heard of it. I'd like some help brainstorming ways to increase public awareness of bitcoin.

My first thought was have a table outside safeway advertising bitcoin, mobile wallets and other bitcoin services, and wearing an "Ask me about Bitcoin" T-Shirt. lol maybe...

Anyways, what are your thoughts?
