I am not joining any bounty yet. But before joining bounty i research few things about bounty project where i found about Soft cap and Hard cap.

In every ICO project we saw about Soft cap and Hard cap. Both of are a Fund raising goals of a ICO project. Here Soft cap is minimum limit of fund raised and Hard cap is Maximum limit of fund raised in ICO.

So, basically every project have their own soft and hard cap. If they can't reached the soft cap then the ICO will not run and which money are refund. On the other hand if they reached their hard cap then after reaching Hard cap who are invest in that ICO then also those people money are refund.

Hope my point is right about the Soft Cap and Hard Cap!!

Well, done my dear! your point is right. Soft cap is the minimum raising fund of ICO and Hard cap is the Maximum raising fund of ICO. Without reaching soft cap they can't run their project but without reaching hard cap they can run their project.

I also do not understand what it is, it seems to me that if the price were unambiguous, for example, after reaching a price in the softcap, a smart contract would simply stop using fundraising, it would be much more profitable for investors than achieving a hardcap, after which it is not known what will happen to coins.

Softcap is the minimum capital calling for investment of ICO needed for its project, if the ICO does not reach the softcap it will be canceled. Harpcap is the maximum  capital calling for investment of ICO, if the ICO does not reach the hardcap, the project will continue.

Hard cap and soft cap is just the rate of number on how many percent of their coins has been sold in the investors and that is also the terminology to use in order for the customers to determine if the campaign is success or not.

According to my understanding. Softcap is the minimum funding source for a project to operate (including legal procedures and the construction of basic routes). Hardcap is the maximum source of capital for the project to fully implement the roadmap and to deliver products that sustain and development (including expanding and marketing the markets, creating workshops to search customers and find partners ...). In a way, some ICOs today are inflecting softcap and hardcap  exaggerated value... For example: > 70M for Hardcap. Whereas roadmap and project scale are not verified both in terms of logic and reality.

The ICO purposely make this limitation in order for the investor to see their sale status. Softcap - is the minimum investment that is needed in order for the project to run. While conducting a tokensale, even if the tokens not all purchased, but it reached its softcap, still the project is it track. While the hardcap - is the finish line of the tokensale, meaning that the tokensale was fully sold. When an ICO didnt reached either of the two conditions, there was a probability that the project can be canceled and funds will be returned to the investors.

Another indicator, though not very significant, on which you can determine that the project is good. Without a soft cover, the project will not have further development, and without a rigid take on of further investors.

Definitely yes because these are the basis of a project if they'll continue their product or not unless you chose an ICO with an available product. They set this target to ensure that they'll complete the necessary things within the roadmap. Personally, I invest on those who reached at least the soft cap as it somehow guarantee the project. Don't invest into something that just starting from scratch as it doesn't have the capability to make a product without others money.

Yes, one to cosider when investing in ICO is the status of softcap and hardcap. The softcap is a minimum amount a project needs to reach in order to proceed the project. The hardcap is the maximum allowable amount for the project. When a project reached hardcap before the scheduled end date of ICO then they can end the ICO early. Reaching hardcap is sign that the project is succesful.

soft cap is the minimum fund-raising of a project and yet the hard cap is the target of fundraising for a project. but there are some very valuable projects though not soft cap. the best managers and teams that can make a high project sense

This is probably the most accurate description for ICO projects now, although it is quite sad to me that soft cap is the term used, instead of something more closer to the truth such as "minimum fundraising target". Cap by definition simply just means an upper limit, so soft cap should be the "first limit" or the "initial limit" that helps a company gauge interest.

And the idea that companies can only continue projects if soft cap is met is ridiculous. You either have a team with a good idea and want to do it, or you don't.

Soft cap is only for the least minimal amount that they can use and over on it is much better, not raising the funds in hardcap doesn't means an ICO was a failure well then sometimes it depends in the Team who will going to use the funds for their own or to continue what they have planned in their timeline wuthout having much money raised.

Soft caps are pre sale targets while hard caps are the main ico targets. When soft caps are reached in an ico projects then the project is half successful. The team will now move to the hard cap which when reached means that the project is fully successful. This is the difference between the both
