Instead of setting up pools and arguing about the coin (xmr is the worst choice by far but that's not the point), it would be a lot simpler to mine on nicehash.

Just make an account on behalf of the HCN community, specify a bitcoin address and have people mine whatever they want with whatever equipment they have, paid to that address.

What could be simpler than that?

We will check carefully, I am thinking of changing the mining pool from Monero to Bytecoin, or maybe sumokoin, since a block is quickly mined, I will check with Ridd about this possibility.

I have the gui wallet and it doesn't sync up.  it says the block status is something like 42265/42265 (not the exact number, going from my poor memory) so that would seem to mean the wallet thinks it is sync'd but I'm sure the block count is probably higher by now.  And then the little sync arrows just spin around forever but no indication that it is actually sync'd.

are there some addnode lines I should put in the .conf file or something?  I searched the web for 'humanitarycoin addnode" but couldn't find anything.

why not synchronized wallet under Windows ? what you need to do to make it work? does not see users with seeds ? I found where to create the config file but now it says the argument is wrong no matter what argument I ask what's wrong? for an example
