Lol, what's happened with Bitcoin Interest project?
Selling Github? It sounds very strange.
I have never seen something like this, at least in my own 2-year experience in crypto world.

that guy is just a domain squatter, the official links are on the website and the github is not for sale

I made relevant sentences bold in my post  Grin
If you are interested in buying, please email me an offer privately. (And, I can show evidence that I am a Dev and not a domain squatter. I can even include working online wallet code.). I can't email you privately because of my Newbie status  Grin I am also looking for Dev work (not related to Bitcoin Interest)

If you registered those domains during your time with BCI as part of your job, they belong to BCI.  If you registered them yourself, outside your position at BCI, you’re a domain squatter.  Either way, you have demonstrated a lack of integrity.  Why, then, would anyone else here want to hire you?

So, you are basically saying I should just hand over everything for free to BCI to demonstrate my integrity? Do you think Devs are idiots? And you can just steal their hardwork for free?

That isn’t at all what I said and your reply is nothing more than a straw man.

Great hashrate but power consumption really huge! Is it possible to reduce GPU power to about 220-240W? What hashrate will be in that case?
Also a question: what is your model of 2080ti? NVIDIA or other Vendor (like Giga, Asus etc.)?

BTC   Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System   BTC
A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution. Digital signatures provide part of the solution, but the main benefits are lost if a trusted third party is still required to prevent double-spending. We propose a solution to the double-spending problem using a peer-to-peer network. The network timestamps transactions by hashing them into an ongoing chain of hash-based proof-of-work, forming a record that cannot be changed without redoing the proof-of-work. The longest chain not only serves as proof of the sequence of events witnessed, but proof that it came from the largest pool of CPU power. As long as a majority of CPU power is controlled by nodes that are not cooperating to attack the network, they'll generate the longest chain and outpace attackers. The network itself requires minimal structure. Messages are broadcast on a best effort basis, and nodes can leave and rejoin the network at will, accepting the longest proof-of-work chain as proof of what happened while they were gone.

Anyone can post nodes for sinc wallet?

It will sync, just wait for seednodes Smiley

Make sure nothing is blocking port 8334

If you have firewall enabled on windows, you need to make exception for 8334 in/out
How long do we have to wait.  It has been 3 hours and nothing.  I made sure the right port was open and not blocked.  I am using the QT wallet

If you backed up private keys previously you can try BCI electrum wallet to get the access to your funds.
Even your qt wallet is unsynced you can get your private keys by using "dumpprivkey" command in console

I didn't find the announce that there already is a new electrum BCI client on the website?
The downloadable file httpx://www.bitcoininterest.io/downloads/electrum-bci-3.3.zip seems still to be the old one build previous to the fork and won't work

I am used to seeing warnings from Windows Defender, etc about various mining software, and occasionally I have to click an extra few times to make Windows run a wallet...

BUT when I try to browse to http://bitcoininterest.io/ I get a bright red screen and the following message:

Quote
The site ahead may contain harmful programs

Firefox blocked this page because it might try to trick you into installing programs that harm your browsing experience (for example, by changing your homepage or showing extra ads on sites you visit).

Advisory provided by Google Safe Browsing.

This is the first time I have seen this warning and I must have visited 100's of sites related to different crypto-currencies, tokens, etc.

This doesn't inspire confidence. I'm guessing this has probably been addressed already if this is old news, but if it is a new thing - this could seriously damage this coin's future.

Crypto currency enthusiast and miner since 2015. Mined approx 200 ETH during 2016 and 2017 and sold it at approximately $US40 each. Then I watched it reach $1000+ each. If anyone bothers to read this stuff pay attention to this: HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL

I started mining with 1 AMD 7950 and 1 R9-280X. Then I gradually built my AMD operation into 12 R9-290s. Awesome ETH hash but ridiculous power consumption and heat. Over the last year I defected to the Nvidia team. I now use GTX 1070s. They were expensive to buy (probably a bargain now) but awesome hash rate vs. power consumption. blah blah blah blah

Never seen this before! Maybe it has something to do with your security settings from Firefox?
There was a Firefox update a few days ago to build 63.0 with some new tracking filters.

Otherwise try to open the page with a different browser like chrome.
