Nobody's posting on here and I don't see a lot of discussion on Discord.  I understand crypto is taking a beating right now.  Has everyone given up?

No of course not! These times are still the best times for buying / mining and staking more coins. Im pretty sure we will see a rebound in crypto and I don't want to take place in the game when everybody else is already in.
But your right on the point that we got no announces from team for a long time now!

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I JUST SYNCED MY WALLET--

It has not been open since October 2018.  The operation took less than 12 hours, but during that time, the wallet displayed "0.01% progress", and kept reporting that it would take YEARS (35-70) to synchronize.

As suggested earlier, I increased the database cache size, and several times.  Each time, the wallet froze and required closing with Windows Task Manager.  The final size  of the cache set was 7200MB (16 x 450 MB, default), and on the last restart I noticed a slight budge in the "last block" figure.

The wallet did sync.  I have about 10+ BCI, does anyone wish to buy them?  PM me if so.  I'll take any currency listed in my signature.  The exchanges listed for the coin are not my cup of tea.       --scryptr

My 24/7 running BCI wallet shows in the moment 59 connections to peers, 5 outgoing and 54 inbound. There was never a problem to sync it at any time after System updates etc.
Sounds like you have some internal probs with your Hardware?

GLAD YOUR WALLET WORKS WELL--

No problems with my hardware.  The wallet reported the same bogus "time to sync" the first few times I used it.  It reports as if it is not going to sync at all, even though it took less than 12 hours to accomplish.

Do you want my 10-and-a-fraction BCI for your wallet?       --scryptr

If so, safe your wallet.dat file on a safe place then delete all files from your computer and then  download a fresh file and install that. I think in this time it will work fine as other persons reported there is no issue.

A similar site/attempt was made for United Bitcoin which was malware. So beware, this is likely malware.

BTC   Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System   BTC
A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution. Digital signatures provide part of the solution, but the main benefits are lost if a trusted third party is still required to prevent double-spending. We propose a solution to the double-spending problem using a peer-to-peer network. The network timestamps transactions by hashing them into an ongoing chain of hash-based proof-of-work, forming a record that cannot be changed without redoing the proof-of-work. The longest chain not only serves as proof of the sequence of events witnessed, but proof that it came from the largest pool of CPU power. As long as a majority of CPU power is controlled by nodes that are not cooperating to attack the network, they'll generate the longest chain and outpace attackers. The network itself requires minimal structure. Messages are broadcast on a best effort basis, and nodes can leave and rejoin the network at will, accepting the longest proof-of-work chain as proof of what happened while they were gone.

Can someone share actual peers nodes please ? Thanks

pinpin

Here are some nodes from my (now56) connections around:
162.248.14.123
51.6.16.129
46.45.23.58
139.99.122.160
54.38.176.216
18.220.51.61
23.108.213.121
180.183.102.50
95.31.35.147
5.83.131.76

Please try, I hope you are able to connect to them?

so I am in console

is this how i do the command

addnode 162.248.14.123

got it!

addnode 162.248.14.123 add

so I upgraded to 16.0.1 I added all of the nodes listed and 3 worked .
I have 3 nodes connected and the wallet is now synching.

next issue will be my mac wallet.

at least the windows one did synch up as it is bigger then the mac one.

has anyone done the mac update to 16.0.1?

i did and it crashes
and of course the 15.0.1 does not synch
thus freezing about 1800 bci.

I am running it on 10.14.2 mac os.

must I go back to 10.13

or do I uninstall and load again?

So mac 16.1 crashes on mac os 10.14.2 and 10.4.3
mac 15.1 opens and does not synch on 10.4.2 and 10.4.3

I have a mac 10.13.6 os will test on that.
