Oh, both BTC and ether are having congestion problems. In the case of bitcoin it can be solved if segwit gets more adoption. The technology exists, is just a question of us users pressing to make things right.

It is the only downside of bitcoins now. If we are avoiding banks of high transfer fees, why do miners setting so high fees. Is best to deal in alternate currency now than bitcoins.

Yes transaction fee is so high in this time. It is not a good news for bitcoin traders. I think it will be resolved within short possible of time. It is on correction and there are a lot of traffic on blockchain. So be patient and wait sometimes.

The fees will not be adjusted until lightning network goes live. The fees are the payment miners receive so we can have coin on the table so to say. As I said before no work is done for free, so the choices are; either stick to large transactions where the fee does not hurt you, or wait until some changes occur.

The main issue actually is that the system is lacking technical support. I mean, there are many transactions being issued at each second, but the system can only take a fixed number per period.

In order to artificially "solve" this problem, websites allow users to chose their transaction fee: the idea is that the most you pay, the quicker the transaction will happen.

So, actually, the only way to solve the issue, is to enhance the technical system to allow for more transactions simultaneously. :-/

I am also super curious when this problem will be solved. As you say even if you need to send just a little amount of money you have to pay big transaction fee for that. I hope it is solved because otherwise it will effect bitcoin's future in a bad way I am afraid.

I admit the transaction cost issue for bitcoin is quite large and sometimes suffers quite time-consuming delays. this becomes a problem for all of us involved in bitcoin. I do not know to answer your question. maybe someone will tell about something that makes sense

Lighting network is in process. Once it is launched (hopefully this year), the transaction fees problem will be solved. Hope to see lightning to be implemented faster.

Yes, such prices are sooo ridiculous. I had to send 10 dollars to purchase a product that could be bought only in BTC and... well you can guess yourself what happened.

I guess we have to wait until the Lightning Network comes live or some other solution gets picked. I thought that by 2018 we would have gotten over the problems but looks like they will stick around longer. At least economic fees are not that slow, the transactions wont get stuck for a week like they did in the past. It isnt a good fix, but it works if you aren't in a hurry for confirmations.

It is a bit of an issue, it makes it difficult for new people to get involved...theyre put off by the fees. I know we've seen lots of new money recently, but it's not good in the long run. It's possibly a factor in bitcoin dominance too. I for one have been using Eth to trade more recently, cheaper and faster.

bitcoin transaction fees are currently a big problem. it's normal, if you want a quick transaction confirmed then the required fee is greater, transaction fee is directly proportional to the speed of the transaction. When will this problem be resolved? I do not know, just wait. And until that moment comes, bitcoin is only effectively used as a commodity, and is not suitable for micro-payment.

Yes, my transaction fee in my wallet is too high also.  It is really a big issue.  This is also the reason why some people said that bitcoin is for rich only due to its too expensive transaction fee.  We can do nothing about it.  It is really far from what Satoshi aims when he introduced bitcoin.  I guess, somebody like him must enter the bitcoin world so this issue will resolve.  His idea must be adopted and implemented.

Sometimes it is really frustrating to pay high fees. If there is a low price, then there is considerable delay in trading. Major upgrades will be required to get the problem out of this problem. segwit will help reduce this problem.
