Looking at the dump which is going on for last couple of days do you guys think it's the beginning of the end for bitcoin or its just one more dump and pump time for bitcoin which we have witnessed in the past ? Kindly respond with your valuable feedback considering the rise of altcoins and ICO , bitcoin being under the eyes of regulators , some rumours that most of EU will ban bitcoin starting with France.

Am I spamming? Report me!

Wait, what? The end of bitcoin? Are you sure about the level of your words?

How the heck could be this the end of bitcoin? It was just a programmed dump for those major companies, Roger ver, Wu, and no one expected that coinbase was going to do the same.. Just allow bitcoin cash during the same day that the difficulty was increased.

And the same day roger ver started the pump of bitcoin.

And to get it even worse, the co-founder of bitcoin.com said that he was going to dump all their coins to buy bitcoin cash.

THIS IS A MAJOR MANIPULATION; why are you so worried? It is very obvious that they will switch again to bitcoin when they make enough profit.

Nope don't think so. Bitcoin goes down before over half of its price but that thing didn't end the bitcoin domination, I think bitcoin is just being manipulated and there is no need to panic seriously the price is still at a good position and does not need to go even high considering the fees it should even go lower. But as far as I concern bitcoin will still be dominant before this year ends, it is just having a spurt for the soon pump up of its value.

Let's see at the beginning of the year it was 1000. Now it's 16,000. Sound like the end of bitcoin?

Just a triple attack for Christmas.

BCH pump and dump (with Coinbase as sponsor), hacking of a south korean exchange and CME futures funds dumping it for bets.

But dont worry. What wont kill the honey badger, will make it stronger.

You are a Full member, which indicates that you have been in this forum for several weeks, perhaps enough to know that this market is volatile and unpredictable by nature. But in addition, bitcoin has shown sufficient resilience to withstand the strongest attacks against it, such as China's alleged ban and the lack of consensus that threaten it. Therefore I think you can not live with such uncertainty, my friend; bitcoin will always be volatile and you must learn to deal with that.

Bitcoin is far from the end and for your own information in Europe countries like Germany are set to recognise it soon which means doors for cryptocurrencies are starting to open up, and right now whats happening to bitcoin might be the case of the usual pump and dump game but we shall see it recover soon.

End of bitcoin? No way dude. I think you haven't been around long enough. In the worst case scenario every time there is a dump is that the entire bubble will pop. However it is clear to anyone right now that right now bitcoin's demise is caused by the rise of altcoins, and the bubble has not popped.

So in my opinion, right now under $17k is a great buying opportunity. BTC will test the $20k(rather retest) level once again and hopefully it will break it the second time round.

Even if it doesn't break the $20k barrier the second time round, it will be extremely close to doing so and you'll still make a lot of profit. But as i said there is pretty much no way bitcoin is just going down like this.

Bitcoin price is not dumping right now actually it is at constant level and great buy point if you have left behind in previous run up.

Price can go above $20k within next few days and all these rumor for bitcoin will stop as well as bch pump will over.

Have seen similar thread in past too many times when bitcoin get correction after huge surge.

end? lol no. its just another crashed that recently happened on bitcoin but sooner or later itll recover again for sure  we are now getting closer to those bitcoin forks. bitcoin wont end as long as people are still interested on it. bitcoin will only end if there will no electricity to access the internet and process the transaction thru blockchain and also if there were a huge meteor that will crashed directly on  earth and destroys all the life of human beings then that would litterally  end bitcoin.

I won't say that this is the end of bitcoin because if the price is up and down then I think it is normal like usual. we have seen this situation in the past and I guess we have a chance to see the price is up and down again and it will happen again in the future. although in other country bitcoin is ban, we still have many countries that will accept bitcoin and this is not the end of bitcoin. besides that, I think this is not pumped and down of the price because of today, many people are interested in bitcoin and they want to buy bitcoin no matter how much the price.

i don't know where you are looking and at what! but what i see is the normal trend of bitcoin that it always had. it is a simple correction of the exact same size as previous corrections! or maybe you have never seen bitcoin price drop before?

a dump is when bitcoin at least loses at least 35-40% of its value (that is reaching $11,000). so far we had 21% drop max with most of it being recovered and stay at ~15% lower than the ATH but still higher than last month!

Why so negative? It was a 2k drop. The price increased by like 9k the past few weeks. It's nothing to be alarmed about. If there's anything to worry about, it's the massive number of transactions, but that should be solved with time.

It's not like the drop is unprecedented anyway. This has happened before, also courtesy of Bitcoin Cash FUD. Mind sharing your source about the EU and France ban? People tend to exaggerate regulations as bans, which kind of suck.

I mainly think this is a correction that are happening with the bitcoin dip, Although certain FUD had an impact to newbies it didn't really affect the value that much, And other Altcoins have recently pulled by the bullish ride of bitcoin and I think that Banks are on the move right now because they don't want to be left behind.

Seeing your rank I assume that you're here with the past 6 months and you witnessed how bitcoin recovered from dumps and by now you should be used of all this fluctuations. What we're experiencing right now is just a minor correction and probably bitcoin is getting ready for launching new ATH so quit what's on your mind right now and hold your bitcoin tight.

Don't know where to start to be honest.
First of all I don't see any dump happening. Just some correction due to some crazy upmoves we've seen before.
And now we are ranging, back in the area (15.8k - 17.4k) where we've been in since beginning of this month. We've had one drop below that range and one spike above that range.
So I don't know what you're talking about. Look at the chart, zoom out and grasp the bigger picture.

The whole space is booming, therefore alts getting pushed up as well. Mostly because speculation and making a quick buck. I'm ok with that as long as people take responsibility for themselves and their decisions when things turn around, heading the other direction.

That rumor is nonsense. Bitcoin and it's on ramps inside EU are all regulated. You wanna use of those exchanges inside EU, Europe, you have to follow KYC/AML laws and rules.
And furthermore countries inside EU have several different opinions regarding crypto currencies. Some endorse it, others don't like it but will have to deal with it as banning Bitcoin won't change anything! It will make things for those governments going that path even worse!

most of EU will ban bitcoin starting with France.

French president asked for a regulation at G20, not a ban at all. There's no way a country could ban bitcoin without regulating the Web.

Considering the amazing growth in this year some users expect only that price go up and nothing else.So whenever price is go down in combination with some FUD which was launched only to activates many weak hands to sell,we can see titles that BTC is dead.

We can call this dump or price correction, but for me it is just combination of bad news, pump of BCH and 200k+ unconfirmed transactions. Not so long ago we had an almost identical event when Roger&crew start to pump BCH and miners turn to mine BCH,causing BTC price to drop from 8000$ to 5500$.

It is realistic to expect that the situation will resolve again like before, but that we will see something like this again.Only Lightning Network in this case it seems like light at the end of the tunnel,or SegWit which is here but is used in a very small percentage of transactions.

Just the usual pump and dump as I see it. Bitcoin nowadays is too big just to flop that fast and there's still money to be made on the asset and opportunists wouldn't want to miss those of course. And as you can see it, bitcoin still hovers around $16k-$17k strongly and if this is indeed the end, you'll see some steep falls but in bitcoin's case, there's none.
