I typically refer my clients to more traditional hedge fund jurisdictions: Cayman Islands, Cook Islands, Nevis, maybe Belize. Better privacy, tax regimes, easier bank account openings, etc. Not sure I see the value of an Estonia; seems to be more crypto marketing than anything else. https://youtu.be/hYRX09T-zKwI welcome anyone's thoughts on the issue. But doesnt know about its legal side. Can you help him regarding that. He can only pay you in bounty and a percentage after the successful completion of ICO as fee.

There is a new kid in town. BELARUS. The President just announced that they are legalizing bitcoin and all related to crypto's (ICO, mining farms and tradings), and read this, will be tax-free for the next five years.. So there's no question now at to what country is the best for all things crypto's. Here's the full article: https://news.bitcoin.com/belarus-legalizes-cryptocurrencies-icos-tax-free/The government is trying to built a crypto haven there. I'm expecting a exodus of companies to Belarus and starting their ICO because of this incentives. This is positive news for all of us. Another country has joined Japan and Australia as the only nation so far who have legalized bitcoin.

Here is a little research I did on jurisdictions. https://www.scribd.com/document/366368587/Incremint-ICO-Jurisdiction-Survey-December-2017It does not of course answer the question of what is the best one. Considering Cayman's zero tax approach and generally good reputation, it's hard to beat them, imho. It would be nice though if Cayman Island's authorities added some official clarity on KYC/AML requirements for ICOs. Thanks! P

What about Switzerland? Does it cut it as a crypto startup paradise? Also, there are rumors that Belarus is going to fully embrace bitcoin in about three months or so, something like no mining or possession taxes whatsoever till 2022, though I don't really know if anyone is going to move or register their bitcoin business there. It make take plenty of time to see what is actually on their government's mind.

I think you are a tad misinformed. Bitcoin is officially illegal in Indonesia, so I don't really know how you could ever consider this country as one of the best countries for crypto startups. Thailand doesn't look very pleased with bitcoin either. Singapore seems to be a better choice, though, in my opinion, it is Japan and South Korea which are most friendly toward bitcoin among all Asian countries.

Asia is the most unsuitable country for crypto-related startups. Countries like Indonesia, Bangladesh, Nepal declared Bitcoin and crypto's illegal, even Thailand and Singapore also not seem to be much positive on Bitcoin usage. Japan or European country like UK is best for crypto-startup. Japan recognize BTC as legal tender and support crypto market. Even awareness about crypto is also quite more in these in countries than Asian countries.

USA, Japan, korea. To my knowledge, it seems to me the these countries more visible that's really friendly and familiar with bitcoin or other crypto currencies due the support from the its goverment. Its popularity on Bitcoin / crypto currencies to date more visible in that countries, The its citizen are very close to the crypto currencies. Businesses, companies, mining, investments, payment transactions, employee salaries, etc.. seem already really familiar in that countries.

As far as I know, they just equaled it to a foreign currency like the US dollar orEuro. With legal tender you can pay official taxes, but can you pay taxes with bitcoins in Japan? I have strong doubts about that. On the other hand, Europe seems to be tightening their regulations toward cryptocurrencies, though the UK is no longer in the EU, so they might not give a damn about what the rest of Europe thinks or does.

Despite China’s ban on ICOs and its temporary halts on all cryptocurrency exchanges, many other countries are quickly taking advantage of the cryptocurrency potential.
While this list contains some of the usual tech-friendly countries like the United States and Russia, many new contenders have made the list to prove that they will be on the forefront of blockchain technology as well. Estonia has been making strides to encourage blockchain technology to interweave with its economy and citizens. After becoming the first country in the world to establish e-residency, Estonia announced that it would become a leading country in blockchain innovation.
Digital identity and healthcare services have received a massive security boost through blockchain’s immutable ledger, which has led to a massive amount of healthcare-related blockchain ICOs.
The eHealth foundation of Estonia has become the first governmental practice to actually incorporate blockchain into their healthcare system. Currently, all medical records are being recorded and digitized into the blockchain developed by Estonia’s blockchain team.

Now it is running successfully and this make change in other countries also.

Isnt there a US state which allows payment of taxes in Bitcoin, think I read that. Its possible the OP question is correct in asking best county As far as countries, Puerto Rico is a US territory not US state and currently it allows a US citizen to reside there and not be liable to federal income taxes. Thats all formalised and possible for people to move there, it could help a small startup to do better. Otherwise I think cheap power would help with mining, generally good infrastructure and internet access would be required. It varies largely on the business type to the startup.

There are lots of factors that go in to deciding which country is the best for crypto startups, and you also have to consider that the rules for each country change over time. So what might currently be a great country, might eventually turn out to be one of the worst if it doesn't maintain its favorable regulations on crypto. However, I do hear that Eastern Europe has a few countries that fit the bill.

Singapore, Dubai and other Soudi are the best places for crypto start ups, trading and etc. I am sure bitcoin is legalized in these countries. We do see many legit ICOs starting up their own crypto currency with firm projects. Even recent ICO PolicyPol had a good nailing entry with its insurance policy project.

Japan and Germany are the best countries for those who wants to establish a crypto business because Bitcoin is legal and fully supported by the government in which there is no Bitcoin tax as per regulation policy. With this tax exemption then i believed many people will adapt bitcoin currency in which in favor for those business enthusiast.

Russia is more perspective country for such projects. However, everything depends on the project specifications. For example, there is one cool project - Socratus. I really like their concept - a platform for insurance companies that was created in order to make the communication between customer and insurance company more convenient and simple. It helps to get read of annoying personal meetings and paper work. With this ecosystem, companies will be able to cut operating costs, create new insurance products, deal with data analysis more efficiently and many other benefits.

While looking at actual regulations set in place for the growing blockchain sector in my vision the top European countries for starting a [Suspicious link removed]pany is mentioned here. This is only my vision it may be possible I am wrong at any point. So Switzerland is number one on the list, due to its positive regulatory dynamics and forward-thinking position on setting government guidelines for crypto startups. Gibraltar on the 2nd and Malta is the 3rd due to similar dynamics and government participation. The United Kingdom at number 4, Denmark at number 5 (with 0% tax on cryptocurrencies), Germany at number 6 and Portugal at number 7 (where income from crypto is not taxed). Finland at no.8 (where virtual currencies are exempt from VAT), Netherland at no.9 and finally Belarus at no.10 (where cryptocurrencies are tax exempt through the year 2023, and smart contracts have been declared as legal documents).

Cheers For me the best country will be Germany because earning Bitcoin is tax free and we can use Bitcoin currency for spending in most of their establishments. Hopefully all country will be the same of Germany regulation policies in which we could enjoy Bitcoin benefits anytime and anywhere for free.

Better privacy, tax regimes, easier bank account openings, etc. Not sure I see the value of an Estonia; seems to be more crypto marketing than anything else. https://youtu.be/hYRX09T-zKwI welcome anyone's thoughts on the issue. Cheers For me the best country will be Germany because of free of Bitcoin tax and we can use Bitcoin currency for spending in most of their establishments. Hopefully all country will be the same of Germany regulation policies in which we could enjoy Bitcoin benefits anytime and anywhere for free. If all the countries will have that mindsef on crypto, that could provide every people an opportunity to be more stabe on their finances. With respect to Germany, the adoption could help the cryptocurrencies economy grow much higher in demands and could toss up the value of each coins. There's a lot of prospected countries seem to be similar with Germany that has greater potentials on crypto to start over, and to begin was just a matter of motivations specially the residents who will study cryptocurrencies in order to gain knowledge.

Well usually small countries will be a good environment for crypto start ups. This would be serve as a training ground and will be a learning in the near future as one grows and continue his/her endeavor to cryptocurrency in a larger base community like relating to other countries as well from around the world. Just try small amount first when investing in cryptocurrency.

I think that Japan, Korea and Switzerland the best countries for crypto startups. Moreover, Japan support crypto market.
Moreover there are developed countries. very sophisticated technology coming from that country and it seems people there are very open to technological developments? bitcoin also thrives there. if there are no obstacles like prohibitions. crypto startups will be used a lot on there

I think Ukraine will try her best to take the number one place. I have heard that they are really trying to attract investments and attention on anyway and crypto legalization or freedom is one of them. Well, let's see how it will be in the final.

I try to search about Ukraine as I'm not familiar how crypto country they are. https://cointelegraph.com/news/ukraine-to-legalize-cryptocurrencies-invites-citizens-to-comment-on-proposed-regulationsAnd it looks like you are right and might be a good candidate for a crypto startup. Singapore is slowly gaining some grounds as well as I have seen ICO being HQ in that country. Although we have seen the market conditions is not that good for project developments right now because of the bearish trend, it seems though that many country are not deterred but willing to be friendly to crypto space.

In terms of legal regulation - Switzerland would be the best one. Singapore is No.2 as the government set the guidelines in November 2017. I personally used the guidelines for a number of projects, they are pretty clear and precise.

Im living in the Philippines and although we dont have that advanced technology to support bitcoin purchases, our people has freedom using it and investing in it. In fact, there is this one ultimate app for crypto which you can pay bills directly with your BYC, ETH, XRP and BCH. So i consider my place as one of the best crypto places to start up

Germany
-good only for private purporses ( buy hold and sell ) if you hold your coins more than 12 months your profit is tax free, if you sell within 12 month and your profit is +801 euro you pay taxes ( between 15-45% ) - crypto companys pay automaticly taxes of at least 25% - mining is falling under the law of business = pay taxes of +25%
but its a stable country, not to be afraid of getting scammed by any point of view. However startup for exchanges need a bank license anyways.
Netherlands:
- good for private purporses ( buy hold sell ) , no taxes but you pay neverless a fix tax per year on your crypto ( 1-5% ) - good for cypto startups , but you need to know which kind of legal business you want to open
latvia:
- right now they have no law of regulating bitcoins due to taxes, so all incomes are tax free! They plan to do a fix tax of 13% no matter how much you do as profit its fixed! less paper work! - open a SIA ( company ) cost you only 2500 euro ( can pay in 1 time payment or 50% first year and 50% second year ) - low taxes on business average 10-17% - if you generate 300.000 Euro within 1 year you can also get a permit resident card and apply for a citizienshoip after 5 years

Suitable country conditions for crypto startup it might be like this. they legalize cryptocurrency in their countries, technology has become mainstream, people are open to technological developments. with all three things, startups crypto can grow and develop maybe japan in the first place for this.

I do not know which country is the best for crypto startup. But I know that my country is not a such place. Russia. Politicians still didn't chose the direction they go about crypto currencies. As I heard from news crypto income still seen here as something illegal and a try to hide from taxes.

One of the best place for crypto startups is Malta, an island country located in Southern Europe. It is the first nation to have a decentralized bank and stock exchange soon. There is already a regulatory framework that will make Malta as one of the bitcoin-friendly countries. In southeast asia, Singapore has also a high number of successful crypto startups because of its short distance to China and Japan. I hope that other countries in this diverse region will also catch up in blockchain technology soon.

Cheers Depends on the type of startups, for example, a research company and a hedge fund are two different projects. A research company, I would say easy of Europe can be a good option as you can save a lot of costs and still find the right talents. Hedge funds, Malta and Estonia are currently popular as big corporates as Delloites helping STO/ICO legal solutions obtaining required licenses. I think that emerging economies are the biggest potential for wise entrepaunrers. This is just my opinion, you should be considering with a legal entity, but you might find some truth in my words.

Nice information about malta, if they already offer decentralized bank for sure crypto economy will be much stronger and if you are planning to start business with crypto they are one of those best options, same with the list that already mentioned about countries who already caters bitcoin / crypto transactions, best to choose those who already have knowledge about crypto so you won't encounter any issue.
